Matt.2:20 20λέγων, Ἐγερθεὶς παράλαβε τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ καὶ πορεύου εἰς γῆν Ἰσραήλ, τεθνήκασιν γὰρ οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ παιδίου. 20 “ Get up ! ” the angel said . “ Take the child and his {NEQ} mother {NEQ} back to the land of Israel , because those who were trying to kill the child are dead . ”

Matt.9:33 33καὶ ἐκβληθέντος τοῦ δαιμονίου, ἐλάλησεν ὁ κωφός. καὶ ἐθαύμασαν οἱ ὄχλοι. λέγοντες, Οὐδέποτε ἐφάνη οὕτως ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ. 33 So Jesus cast out the demon , and then the man began to speak . {NEQ} The crowds were amazed . “ Nothing like this has ever happened in {NEQ} Israel ! ” they exclaimed .

Matt.10:23 23ὅταν δὲ διώκωσιν ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ, φεύγετε εἰς τὴν ἑτέραν. ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ μὴ τελέσητε τὰς πόλεις τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἕως ἔλθῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου. 23 {NEQ} When you are persecuted in one {NEQ} town , flee to the next . {NEQ} I tell you the truth , the Son of {NEQ} Man  *  will return before you have reached all the towns of {NEQ} Israel .
Matt.15:24 24ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν, Οὐκ ἀπεστάλην εἰ μὴ εἰς τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἀπολωλότα— οἴκου Ἰσραήλ. 24 Then Jesus said to the woman , “ I was sent only to help God’s {RPT} lost {RPT} sheep — the people of Israel . ”
Matt.15:31 31ὥστε τὸν ὄχλον θαυμάσαι· βλέποντας κωφοὺς λαλοῦντας, κυλλοὺς ὑγιεῖς, καὶ χωλοὺς περιπατοῦντας, καὶ τυφλοὺς βλέποντας. καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν Ἰσραήλ. 31 {NEQ} The crowd was amazed ! Those who hadn’t been able to speak were talking , the crippled were made well , {NEQ} the lame were walking , and the blind could see again ! And they praised the God of Israel .
Matt.19:28 28ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὑμεῖς οἱ ἀκολουθήσαντές μοι ἐν τῇ παλινγενεσίᾳ ὅταν καθίσῃ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπὶ θρόνου δόξης αὐτοῦ, καθήσεσθε καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐπὶ δώδεκα θρόνους, κρίνοντες τὰς δώδεκα φυλὰς τοῦ Ἰσραήλ. 28 {NEQ} {NEQ} Jesus replied {RPT} , “ I assure you that when the world is made new  *  and the Son of {NEQ} Man  *  sits upon his glorious throne , you who have been my followers will also sit {RPT} on twelve thrones , judging the twelve tribes of {NEQ} Israel .
Matt.27:9 9τότε ἐπληρώθη τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ Ἰερεμίου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος, Καὶ ἔλαβον τὰ τριάκοντα ἀργύρια— τὴν τιμὴν τοῦ τετιμημένου ὃν ἐτιμήσαντο ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ, 9 {NEQ} This fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that says , “ {NEQ} They took  *  the thirty pieces of silver — the price at which he was valued by the people of Israel ,
Matt.27:42 42̓Άλλους ἔσωσεν, ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται σῶσαι. βασιλεὺς Ἰσραήλ, ἐστιν; καταβάτω νῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ, καὶ πιστεύσομεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν. 42   “ He saved others , ” they scoffed , “ but he can’t save himself ! So he is the King of Israel , is he ? Let him come down from the cross right now , and we will believe in him !

Luke.22:30 30ἵνα ἔσθητε καὶ πίνητε ἐπὶ τῆς τραπέζης μου ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ μου. καὶ καθήσεσθε ἐπὶ θρόνων, τὰς δώδεκα φυλὰς κρίνοντες τοῦ Ἰσραήλ. 30 to eat and drink at my {NEQ} table in my {NEQ} Kingdom . And you will sit on thrones , judging the twelve tribes of {NEQ} Israel .

John.1:31 31κἀγὼ οὐκ ᾔδειν αὐτόν, ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα φανερωθῇ τῷ Ἰσραὴλ διὰ τοῦτο ἦλθον ἐγὼ ἐν ὕδατι βαπτίζων. 31 I did not recognize him as the Messiah , but I have been baptizing with water so that he might be revealed to {NEQ} Israel . ”
John.1:49 49ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ Ναθαναήλ, Ῥαββεί, σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ— σὺ βασιλεὺς εἶ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ. 49 Then Nathanael exclaimed {RPT} , “ Rabbi , you are the Son of {NEQ} God — {RPT} the King {RPT} of {NEQ} Israel ! ”
John.3:10 10ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, Σὺ εἶ ὁ διδάσκαλος τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ταῦτα οὐ γινώσκεις; 10 Jesus replied {RPT} , “ You are a respected {NEQ} Jewish teacher , and yet you don’t understand these things ?

Acts.1:6 6οἱ μὲν οὖν συνελθόντες, ἠρώτων αὐτὸν λέγοντες, Κύριε, εἰ ἐν τῷ χρόνῳ τούτῳ ἀποκαθιστάνεις τὴν βασιλείαν τῷ Ἰσραήλ; 6 So {NEQ} when the apostles were with Jesus , they kept asking him , “ Lord , has the {NEQ} time come for you to free {NEQ} Israel and restore our {NEQ} kingdom ? ”
Acts.2:36 36ἀσφαλῶς οὖν γινωσκέτω πᾶς οἶκος Ἰσραὴλ ὅτι καὶ κύριον αὐτὸν καὶ Χριστὸν ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τοῦτον τὸν Ἰησοῦν ὃν ὑμεῖς ἐσταυρώσατε. 36 “ So let everyone in Israel know for certain that {NEQ} God has made this {NEQ} Jesus , whom you crucified , to be {RPT} both Lord and Messiah ! ”

Acts.4:27 27συνήχθησαν γὰρ ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ— ἐπὶ τὸν ἅγιον παῖδά σου, Ἰησοῦν, ὃν ἔχρισας— Ἡρῴδης τε, καὶ Πόντιος Πειλᾶτος, σὺν ἔθνεσιν, καὶ λαοῖς Ἰσραήλ· 27 “ In fact , this has happened here in this very {NEQ} city ! For Herod Antipas , {NEQ} Pontius Pilate the governor , {RPT} the Gentiles , and the people of Israel were all united against Jesus , your {NEQ} holy servant , whom you anointed .
Acts.5:21 21ἀκούσαντες δέ, εἰσῆλθον ὑπὸ τὸν ὄρθρον εἰς τὸ ἱερόν, καὶ ἐδίδασκον. παραγενόμενος δὲ ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς καὶ οἱ σὺν αὐτῷ, συνεκάλεσαν τὸ συνέδριον— καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γερουσίαν τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ. καὶ ἀπέστειλαν εἰς τὸ δεσμωτήριον ἀχθῆναι αὐτούς. 21 So at {NEQ} daybreak the apostles entered {RPT} the Temple , as they were told , and immediately began teaching . {NEQ} When the high priest and his officials arrived , they convened the high council  *  — {NEQ} the full assembly of the elders of Israel . Then they sent for the apostles to be brought from the jail for trial .
Acts.5:31 31τοῦτον ὁ θεὸς ἀρχηγὸν καὶ σωτῆρα ὕψωσεν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ· τοῦ δοῦναι μετάνοιαν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν. 31 Then {NEQ} God put him in the place of honor {NEQ} at his right hand as Prince and Savior . {NEQ} He did this so the people of {NEQ} Israel would repent of their sins and be forgiven .
Acts.7:23 23ὡς δὲ ἐπληροῦτο αὐτῷ τεσσερακονταετὴς χρόνος, ἀνέβη ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν αὐτοῦ ἐπισκέψασθαι τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ, τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραήλ. 23 “ One day when Moses was forty years old , he decided {RPT} to visit his {NEQ} relatives , the people of Israel .
Acts.7:37 37οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Μωυσῆς ὁ εἴπας τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ, Προφήτην ὑμῖν ἀναστήσει ὁ θεὸς ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν ὑμῶν ὡς ἐμέ. 37 “ {NEQ} Moses himself {NEQ} {NEQ} told the people of Israel , ‘ {NEQ} God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your {NEQ} own people . ’  *

Acts.9:15 15εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος, Πορεύου, ὅτι σκεῦος ἐκλογῆς ἐστίν μοι οὗτος τοῦ βαστάσαι τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐνώπιον τῶν ἐθνῶν τε καὶ βασιλέων, υἱῶν τε Ἰσραήλ, 15 But the Lord said {NEQ} {RPT} , “ Go , for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my {NEQ} message to the Gentiles {RPT} and to kings , as well as to the people of Israel .
Acts.10:36 36τὸν λόγον ἀπέστειλεν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ εὐαγγελιζόμενος— εἰρήνην διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, οὗτός ἐστιν πάντων κύριος. 36 This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel — that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ , who is Lord of all .
Acts.13:17 17ὁ θεὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου Ἰσραὴλ ἐξελέξατο τοὺς πατέρας ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν λαὸν ὕψωσεν ἐν τῇ παροικίᾳ ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτου. καὶ μετὰ βραχίονος ὑψηλοῦ ἐξήγαγεν αὐτοὺς ἐξ αὐτῆς. 17 “ The God of this {NEQ} nation of Israel chose our {NEQ} ancestors and made them multiply and grow strong during their stay in Egypt . Then with a powerful arm he led them out {RPT} of their {RPT} slavery .
Acts.13:23 23τούτου ὁ θεὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ σπέρματος, κατ᾽ ἐπαγγελίαν ἤγαγεν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ σωτῆρα, Ἰησοῦν· 23 “ And it is one of King David’s {NEQ} descendants , Jesus , who is {NEQ} God’s promised Savior of {NEQ} Israel !
Acts.13:24 24προκηρύξαντος Ἰωάνου πρὸ προσώπου τῆς εἰσόδου αὐτοῦ, βάπτισμα μετανοίας παντὶ τῷ λαῷ Ἰσραήλ. 24 Before {RPT} he came , John the Baptist preached that all the people of Israel needed to repent of their sins and turn to God and be baptized .
Acts.28:20 20διὰ ταύτην οὖν τὴν αἰτίαν παρεκάλεσα ὑμᾶς ἰδεῖν καὶ προσλαλῆσαι εἵνεκεν γὰρ τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ τὴν ἅλυσιν ταύτην περίκειμαι. 20 {NEQ} {NEQ} I asked you to come here today so we could get acquainted and so I could explain to you that I am bound with this {NEQ} chain because I believe that the hope {NEQ} of Israel — the Messiah — has already come . ”
Rom.9:6 6οὐχ οἷον δέ, ὅτι ἐκπέπτωκεν ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ; οὐ γὰρ πάντες οἱ ἐξ Ἰσραήλ, οὗτοι Ἰσραήλ· 6 Well then , {NEQ} has {NEQ} God failed to fulfill his promise to Israel ? No , for not all who are born into the nation of Israel {RPT} are truly members of God’s people !
Rom.9:27 27Ἠσαΐας δέ, κράζει ὑπὲρ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, Ἐὰν ᾖ ὁ ἀριθμὸς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ὡς ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης, τὸ ὑπόλειμμα σωθήσεται· 27 And concerning {NEQ} Israel , Isaiah the prophet cried out , “ Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore , only a remnant will be saved .

Yes , they did , for even in the time of Moses , God said , “ I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation . I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles . ”  * 
Rom.10:21 21πρὸς δὲ τὸν Ἰσραήλ, λέγει, ̔Όλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐξεπέτασα τὰς χεῖράς μου πρὸς λαόν, ἀπειθοῦντα καὶ ἀντιλέγοντα. 21 But regarding {NEQ} Israel , God said , “ All {NEQ} day long I opened my {NEQ} arms to them , but they were disobedient and rebellious . ”  * 
Rom.11:2 2οὐκ ἀπώσατο ὁ θεὸς τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ, ὃν προέγνω. ἢ οὐκ οἴδατε ἐν Ἠλείᾳ τί λέγει ἡ γραφή; ὡς ἐντυγχάνει τῷ θεῷ κατὰ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, 2 No , {NEQ} God has not rejected his own {NEQ} people , whom he chose from the very beginning . {NEQ} {NEQ} Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this ? {NEQ} Elijah the prophet {NEQ} complained to {NEQ} God about {NEQ} the people of Israel and said ,
Rom.11:7 7τί οὖν; ὃ ἐπιζητεῖ Ἰσραὴλ τοῦτο οὐκ ἐπέτυχεν— ἡ δὲ ἐκλογὴ ἐπέτυχεν— οἱ δὲ λοιποὶ ἐπωρώθησαν. 7 So this is the situation : {RPT} Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly . A few have — {NEQ} the ones God has chosen — but the hearts of the rest were hardened .
Rom.11:25 25οὐ γὰρ θέλω ὑμᾶς ἀγνοεῖν, ἀδελφοί, τὸ μυστήριον τοῦτο, ἵνα μὴ ἦτε παρ᾽ ἑαυτοῖς φρόνιμοι· ὅτι πώρωσις ἀπὸ μέρους τῷ Ἰσραὴλ γέγονεν, ἄχρι οὗ τὸ πλήρωμα τῶν ἐθνῶν εἰσέλθῃ. 25 {NEQ} I want you to understand this {NEQ} mystery , dear brothers and sisters ,  *  so that you will not feel proud about yourselves . {NEQ} Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts , but this will last only until the full number of {NEQ} Gentiles comes to Christ .
Rom.11:26 26καὶ οὕτως πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ σωθήσεται· καθὼς γέγραπται, ̔Ήξει ἐκ Σιὼν ὁ ῥυόμενος, ἀποστρέψει ἀσεβείας ἀπὸ Ἰακώβ. 26 And so all Israel will be saved . As the Scriptures say , “ The one who rescues will come from Jerusalem ,  *  and he will turn Israel  *  away from {RPT} ungodliness .
1Cor.10:18 18βλέπετε τὸν Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ σάρκα· οὐχ οἱ ἐσθίοντες τὰς θυσίας κοινωνοὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου εἰσίν; 18 Think about the people of {NEQ} Israel . Weren’t they united by eating the sacrifices at the altar ?
2Cor.3:7 7εἰ δὲ ἡ διακονία, τοῦ θανάτου, ἐν γράμμασιν ἐντετυπωμένη λίθοις, ἐγενήθη ἐν δόξῃ ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι ἀτενίσαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ εἰς τὸ πρόσωπον Μωυσέως· διὰ τὴν δόξαν τοῦ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, τὴν καταργουμένην. 7 {NEQ} {NEQ} The old way ,  *  with laws etched in stone , {NEQ} led to death , though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses' {NEQ} face . For his {NEQ} face shone with the glory of God , even though the brightness was already fading away .
2Cor.3:13 13καὶ οὐ καθάπερ Μωυσῆς, ἐτίθει κάλυμμα ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἀτενίσαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ εἰς τὸ τέλος, τοῦ καταργουμένου. 13 {NEQ} We are not like Moses , who put a veil over his {NEQ} face so the people of Israel would not see the glory , even though it was destined to fade away .
Gal.6:16 16καὶ ὅσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν εἰρήνη ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ θεοῦ. 16 {NEQ} {RPT} May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this {NEQ} principle ; they are {NEQ} {RPT} the new people of {NEQ} God .  * 
Eph.2:12 12ὅτι ἦτε τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ χωρὶς Χριστοῦ· ἀπηλλοτριωμένοι τῆς πολιτείας τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ξένοι τῶν διαθηκῶν τῆς ἐπαγγελίας· ἐλπίδα μὴ ἔχοντες καὶ ἄθεοι ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ. 12 {NEQ} In those days you were living apart from Christ . You were excluded from {NEQ} citizenship among the people of {NEQ} Israel , and you did not know the covenant {NEQ} promises God had made to them . You lived in this world without God and without hope .
Phil.3:5 5περιτομῇ ὀκταήμερος· ἐκ γένους Ἰσραήλ, φυλῆς Βενιαμείν— Ἑβραῖος ἐξ Ἑβραίων· κατὰ νόμον Φαρισαῖος, 5 I was circumcised when I was eight days old . I am a pure-blooded citizen of Israel and a member of the tribe of Benjamin — a real Hebrew if there ever was one ! I was a member of the Pharisees , who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law .
Heb.8:8 8μεμφόμενος γὰρ αὐτοὺς λέγει· Ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται, λέγει κύριος, καὶ συντελέσω ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰούδα διαθήκην καινήν· 8 But when God found fault with the people , he said : “ {NEQ} The day is coming , says the LORD , when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and {RPT} {RPT} {RPT} Judah .
Heb.8:10 10ὅτι αὕτη ἡ διαθήκη ἣν διαθήσομαι τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰσραὴλ μετὰ τὰς ἡμέρας ἐκείνας, λέγει κύριος· διδοὺς νόμους μου εἰς τὴν διάνοιαν αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐπὶ καρδίας αὐτῶν ἐπιγράψω αὐτούς. καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεόν, καὶ αὐτοὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαόν. 10 But this is the new covenant {RPT} I will make with the people of Israel on that {NEQ} day ,  *  says the LORD : I will put my laws in their {NEQ} minds , and I will write them on their hearts . {NEQ} I will be their God , and they will be my people .
Heb.11:22 22πίστει Ἰωσήφ, τελευτῶν, περὶ τῆς ἐξόδου τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἐμνημόνευσεν, καὶ περὶ τῶν ὀστέων αὐτοῦ ἐνετείλατο. 22 It was by faith that Joseph , when he was about to die , said confidently that the people of Israel {NEQ} would leave Egypt . He even commanded them to take his {NEQ} bones with them when they left .
Rev.2:14 14ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ ὀλίγα· ὅτι ἔχεις ἐκεῖ κρατοῦντας τὴν διδαχὴν Βαλαάμ, ὃς ἐδίδασκεν τῷ Βαλὰκ βαλεῖν σκάνδαλον ἐνώπιον τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· φαγεῖν εἰδωλόθυτα καὶ πορνεῦσαι. 14   “ But I have a few complaints against you . {NEQ} You tolerate some among you whose teaching is like that of Balaam , who showed {NEQ} Balak how to trip up the people of Israel . He taught them to sin by eating food offered to idols and by committing sexual sin .
Rev.7:4 4καὶ ἤκουσα τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἐσφραγισμένων— ἑκατὸν τεσσεράκοντα τέσσαρες χιλιάδες ἐσφραγισμένοι ἐκ πάσης φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· 4 And I heard how many {NEQ} were marked with the seal of God — 144,000 were sealed from all the tribes of Israel :
Rev.21:12 12ἔχουσα τεῖχος μέγα καὶ ὑψηλόν, ἔχουσα πυλῶνας δώδεκα καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς πυλῶσιν ἀγγέλους δώδεκα· καὶ ὀνόματα ἐπιγεγραμμένα ἅ ἐστιν τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν δώδεκα φυλῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· 12 The city wall was broad and high , with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels . And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel {RPT} were written {RPT} {NEQ} {NEQ} on the gates .
