2Pet.1:4 4δι᾽ ὧν τὰ τίμια καὶ μέγιστα ἡμῖν ἐπαγγέλματα δεδώρηται· ἵνα διὰ τούτων γένησθε θείας κοινωνοὶ φύσεως ἀποφυγόντες τῆς ἐν τῷ κόσμῳ ἐν ἐπιθυμίᾳ φθορᾶς. 4 And because of his glory and excellence , he has given us {NEQ} great and precious promises . These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the {RPT} {NEQ} world’s corruption caused by human desires .
2Pet.2:18 18ὑπέρογκα γὰρ ματαιότητος φθεγγόμενοι δελεάζουσιν· ἐν ἐπιθυμίαις σαρκὸς ἀσελγείαις· τοὺς ὀλίγως ἀποφεύγοντας τοὺς ἐν πλάνῃ ἀναστρεφομένους· 18 {NEQ} They brag about themselves with empty , foolish boasting . With an appeal to twisted sexual desires , they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from {RPT} a lifestyle of deception .
2Pet.2:20 20εἰ γὰρ ἀποφυγόντες τὰ μιάσματα τοῦ κόσμου ἐν ἐπιγνώσει τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ σωτῆρος Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τούτοις δὲ πάλιν ἐμπλακέντες ἡττῶνται, γέγονεν αὐτοῖς τὰ ἔσχατα χείρονα τῶν πρώτων. 20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our {NEQ} Lord and Savior Jesus Christ {RPT} and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again , they are worse off than {NEQ} before .
