Luke.15:2 2καὶ διεγόγγυζον οἵ τε Φαρισαῖοι καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς λέγοντες ὅτι οὗτος ἁμαρτωλοὺς προσδέχεται— καὶ συνεσθίει αὐτοῖς. 2 {NEQ} This made the {NEQ} Pharisees and {NEQ} teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people — even eating with them !
Luke.15:7 7λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὕτως, χαρὰ ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ἔσται ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι ἢ ἐπὶ ἐνενήκοντα ἐννέα δικαίοις οἵτινες οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν μετανοίας. 7 {NEQ} {RPT} In the same way , there is more joy in {NEQ} heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away !
Luke.15:10 10οὕτως λέγω ὑμῖν, γίνεται χαρὰ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀγγέλων τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι. 10 In the same way {NEQ} {RPT} , there is joy in the presence of {NEQ} God’s {NEQ} angels {RPT} when even one sinner repents . ”
Luke.18:13 13ὁ δὲ τελώνης μακρόθεν ἑστὼς οὐκ ἤθελεν οὐδὲ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἐπᾶραι εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν. ἀλλ᾽ ἔτυπτε τὸ στῆθος αὐτοῦ, λέγων, Ὁ θεός, ἱλάσθητί μοι, τῷ ἁμαρτωλῷ. 13 “ But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to {NEQ} heaven as he prayed . Instead , he beat his {NEQ} chest in sorrow , saying , ‘ {NEQ} O God , be merciful to me , for I am a sinner . ’

John.9:31 31οἴδαμεν ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἁμαρτωλῶν οὐκ ἀκούει, ἀλλ᾽ ἐάν τις θεοσεβὴς ᾖ καὶ τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ ποιῇ τούτου ἀκούει. 31 We know that {NEQ} God doesn’t listen to sinners , but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his {RPT} {NEQ} will .
Rom.3:7 7εἰ δέ, ἡ ἀλήθεια τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν τῷ ἐμῷ ψεύσματι ἐπερίσσευσεν εἰς τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, τί ἔτι κἀγὼ ὡς ἁμαρτωλὸς κρίνομαι; 7 “ But , ” someone might still argue , “ how can God condemn {NEQ} me as a sinner if {NEQ} my dishonesty highlights his {NEQ} truthfulness and brings him more {NEQ} glory ? ”
Rom.5:8 8συνίστησιν δὲ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀγάπην εἰς ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ὅτι ἔτι ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄντων ἡμῶν Χριστὸς ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν. 8 But {NEQ} God showed his great {NEQ} love for us by sending Christ to die for us {NEQ} while we were still sinners .

Gal.2:15 15ἡμεῖς φύσει Ἰουδαῖοι, καὶ οὐκ ἐξ ἐθνῶν ἁμαρτωλοί· 15 “ You and I are Jews by birth , {NEQ} not ‘ sinners ’ like the Gentiles .
Gal.2:17 17εἰ δὲ ζητοῦντες δικαιωθῆναι ἐν Χριστῷ εὑρέθημεν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἁμαρτωλοί· ἆρα Χριστὸς ἁμαρτίας διάκονος; μὴ γένοιτο· 17 But suppose we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then we are found guilty because we have abandoned the law . Would that mean Christ has led us into sin ? Absolutely not !
1Tim.1:15 15πιστὸς ὁ λόγος, καὶ πάσης ἀποδοχῆς ἄξιος ὅτι· Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἁμαρτωλοὺς σῶσαι— ὧν πρῶτός εἰμι ἐγώ. 15 This is a trustworthy saying , and everyone should accept it : “ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners ” — and I am the worst of them all .
Heb.7:26 26τοιοῦτος γὰρ ἡμῖν καὶ ἔπρεπεν ἀρχιερεὺς ὅσιος ἄκακος, ἀμίαντος· κεχωρισμένος ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν, καὶ ὑψηλότερος τῶν οὐρανῶν γενόμενος· 26 {NEQ} He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless , unstained by sin . He has been set apart from {NEQ} sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in {NEQ} heaven .  * 
Heb.12:3 3ἀναλογίσασθε γὰρ τὸν τοιαύτην ὑπομεμενηκότα ὑπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν εἰς ἑαυτὸν ἀντιλογίαν, ἵνα μὴ κάμητε ταῖς ψυχαῖς ὑμῶν ἐκλυόμενοι. 3 {NEQ} Think of all the hostility {NEQ} he endured from {NEQ} sinful people ;  *  then you won’t become weary and give up {RPT} .
Jas.4:8 8ἐγγίσατε τῷ θεῷ, καὶ ἐγγιεῖ ὑμῖν. καθαρίσατε χεῖρας, ἁμαρτωλοί· καὶ ἁγνίσατε καρδίας, δίψυχοι. 8 Come close to {NEQ} God , and God will come close to you . Wash your hands , you sinners ; {NEQ} purify your hearts , for your loyalty is divided between God and the world .
Jas.5:20 20γινώσκετε ὅτι ὁ ἐπιστρέψας ἁμαρτωλὸν ἐκ πλάνης ὁδοῦ αὐτοῦ σώσει ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἐκ θανάτου καὶ καλύψει πλῆθος ἁμαρτιῶν. 20 you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back {RPT} will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins .
1Pet.4:18 18καί, Εἰ ὁ δίκαιος μόλις σῴζεται, ὁ ἀσεβὴς καὶ ἁμαρτωλὸς ποῦ φανεῖται; 18 And also , “ If the righteous are barely saved , what will happen to {NEQ} godless {NEQ} sinners ? ”  * 
Jude.1:15 15ποιῆσαι κρίσιν κατὰ πάντων· καὶ ἐλέγξαι πᾶσαν ψυχὴν περὶ πάντων τῶν ἔργων ἀσεβείας αὐτῶν ὧν ἠσέβησαν καὶ περὶ πάντων τῶν σκληρῶν ὧν ἐλάλησαν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀσεβεῖς. 15 to execute judgment on the people of the world . {NEQ} He will convict every person of all the ungodly things {RPT} they have {NEQ} {RPT} done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners {RPT} have spoken against him . ”  *
