Matt.25:14 14ὥσπερ γάρ, ἄνθρωπος ἀποδημῶν· ἐκάλεσεν τοὺς ἰδίους δούλους καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοῖς τὰ ὑπάρχοντα αὐτοῦ. 14 Again {NEQ} , the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip . He called together {NEQ} his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone .
Matt.25:15 15καὶ μὲν ἔδωκεν πέντε τάλαντα, δὲ δύο, δὲ ἕν— ἑκάστῳ κατὰ τὴν ἰδίαν δύναμιν. καὶ ἀπεδήμησεν. 15 He gave five bags of silver  *  {NEQ} to one , {NEQ} two bags of silver to another , and one bag of silver to the last dividing it in proportion to {NEQ} their abilities . He then left on his trip .
Mark.4:34 34χωρὶς δὲ παραβολῆς οὐκ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς, κατ᾽ ἰδίαν δὲ τοῖς ἰδίοις μαθηταῖς, ἐπέλυεν πάντα. 34 In fact , in his public ministry he never taught without using parables ; but afterward , when he was alone with {NEQ} his disciples , he explained everything to them .

Mark.6:32 32καὶ ἀπῆλθον ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κατ᾽ ἰδίαν. 32 So they left by {NEQ} boat for a quiet place , where they could be alone .

John.5:18 18διὰ τοῦτο οὖν μᾶλλον ἐζήτουν αὐτὸν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἀποκτεῖναι. ὅτι οὐ μόνον ἔλυε τὸ σάββατον, ἀλλὰ καὶ πατέρα ἴδιον ἔλεγε τὸν θεόν, ἴσον ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν τῷ θεῷ. 18 So the Jewish leaders tried all the harder to find a way to kill him . John.7:18 18 ἀφ᾽ ἑαυτοῦ λαλῶν τὴν δόξαν τὴν ἰδίαν ζητεῖ, δὲ ζητῶν τὴν δόξαν τοῦ πέμψαντος αὐτὸν οὗτος ἀληθής ἐστιν, καὶ ἀδικία ἐν αὐτῷ οὐκ ἔστιν. 18 Those who speak for themselves want {NEQ} glory {NEQ} only for themselves , {NEQ} but a person who seeks {NEQ} to honor the one who sent him speaks truth , not {NEQ} {RPT} {RPT} lies .
John.10:3 3τούτῳ θυρωρὸς ἀνοίγει, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούει, καὶ τὰ ἴδια πρόβατα φωνεῖ κατ᾽ ὄνομα καὶ ἐξάγει αὐτά. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him , and the sheep recognize his {NEQ} voice and come to him . {NEQ} He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out .
John.10:4 4ὅταν τὰ ἴδια πάντα ἐκβάλῃ, ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πορεύεται, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῷ ἀκολουθεῖ, ὅτι οἴδασιν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ. 4 After he has gathered his own flock , he walks ahead of them , and they follow him because they know his {NEQ} voice .
John.10:12 12 μισθωτὸς καὶ οὐκ ὢν ποιμήν οὗ οὐκ ἔστιν τὰ πρόβατα ἴδια, θεωρεῖ τὸν λύκον ἐρχόμενον. καὶ ἀφίησιν τὰ πρόβατα καὶ φεύγει. καὶ λύκος ἁρπάζει αὐτὰ καὶ σκορπίζει. 12 A hired hand {NEQ} will run when he sees a wolf coming . {NEQ} He will abandon the sheep because {NEQ} they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd . And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock .
Acts.1:7 7εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς, Οὐχ ὑμῶν ἐστὶν γνῶναι, χρόνους καιροὺς οὓς πατὴρ ἔθετο ἐν τῇ ἰδίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ· 7 He replied {RPT} , The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times , {RPT} and they are not for you to know .
Acts.1:25 25λαβεῖν τὸν τόπον τῆς διακονίας ταύτης καὶ ἀποστολῆς ἀφ᾽ ἧς παρέβη Ἰούδας, πορευθῆναι εἰς τὸν τόπον τὸν ἴδιον. 25 {NEQ} as an apostle to replace Judas in this {NEQ} ministry , for {RPT} he has deserted us and gone {RPT} where he {RPT} belongs .
Acts.2:6 6γενομένης δὲ τῆς φωνῆς ταύτης, συνῆλθε τὸ πλῆθος καὶ συνεχύθη ὅτι ἤκουσεν εἷς ἕκαστος τῇ ἰδίᾳ διαλέκτῳ λαλούντων αὐτῶν. 6 When they heard the loud {NEQ} noise , everyone came running , and they were bewildered to hear their {NEQ} own languages being spoken by the believers .
Acts.2:8 8καὶ πῶς ἡμεῖς ἀκούομεν ἕκαστος τῇ ἰδίᾳ διαλέκτῳ ἡμῶν ἐν ἐγεννήθημεν; 8 and yet we hear them speaking in our {NEQ} own native languages !
Acts.3:12 12ἰδὼν δὲ Πέτρος ἀπεκρίνατο πρὸς τὸν λαόν, ̓Άνδρες Ἰσραηλεῖται, τί θαυμάζετε ἐπὶ τούτῳ; ἡμῖν τί ἀτενίζετε ὡς ἰδίᾳ δυνάμει εὐσεβείᾳ πεποιηκόσιν τοῦ περιπατεῖν αὐτόν; 12 {NEQ} {NEQ} Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd . People of Israel , he said , what is so surprising about this ? And why stare at us as though we had made this man {NEQ} walk by our own power or godliness ?
Acts.4:32 32τοῦ δὲ πλήθους τῶν πιστευσάντων ἦν καρδία καὶ ψυχὴ μία· καὶ οὐδὲ εἷς τι τῶν ὑπαρχόντων αὐτῷ ἔλεγεν ἴδιον εἶναι, ἀλλ᾽ ἦν αὐτοῖς πάντα κοινά. 32 {NEQ} {NEQ} All the believers were united in heart and mind . And they felt that what they owned was not their own , so they shared everything they had .
Acts.13:36 36Δαυεὶδ μέν, γὰρ ἰδίᾳ γενεᾷ ὑπηρετήσας τῇ τοῦ θεοῦ βουλῇ, ἐκοιμήθη καὶ προσετέθη πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶδεν διαφθοράν. 36 This is not a reference to David , for after David had done the will of {NEQ} God in his own generation , he died and was buried with his {NEQ} ancestors , and his body decayed .

Rom.8:32 32ὅς γε τοῦ ἰδίου υἱοῦ οὐκ ἐφείσατο ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πάντων παρέδωκεν αὐτόν, πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα ἡμῖν χαρίσεται; 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all , {NEQ} won’t he also give us {NEQ} {RPT} everything else ?
Rom.10:3 3ἀγνοοῦντες γὰρ τὴν τοῦ θεοῦ δικαιοσύνην· καὶ τὴν ἰδίαν δικαιοσύνην ζητοῦντες στῆσαι, τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ τοῦ θεοῦ οὐχ ὑπετάγησαν· 3 For they don’t understand {NEQ} God’s {NEQ} way of making people right with himself . {NEQ} Refusing to accept {NEQ} God’s way , they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law .
Rom.11:24 24εἰ γὰρ σύ, ἐκ τῆς κατὰ φύσιν, ἐξεκόπης ἀγριελαίου. καὶ παρὰ φύσιν ἐνεκεντρίσθης εἰς καλλιέλαιον, πόσῳ μᾶλλον οὗτοι οἱ κατὰ φύσιν ἐνκεντρισθήσονται τῇ ἰδίᾳ ἐλαίᾳ. 24 {NEQ} {NEQ} You , by {NEQ} nature , were a branch cut from {RPT} a wild olive tree . So if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into his cultivated tree , he will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong .
Rom.14:4 4σὺ τίς εἶ κρίνων ἀλλότριον οἰκέτην; τῷ ἰδίῳ κυρίῳ στήκει πίπτει· σταθήσεται δέ, δυνατεῖ γὰρ κύριος στῆσαι αὐτόν. 4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants ? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall . And with the Lord’s help , they will stand and receive his approval .
Rom.14:5 5ὃς μὲν γάρ, κρίνει ἡμέραν παρ᾽ ἡμέραν, ὃς δὲ κρίνει πᾶσαν ἡμέραν· ἕκαστος ἐν τῷ ἰδίῳ νοὶ̈ πληροφορείσθω. 5 In the same way , some think one day is more holy than another day , while others think every day is alike . You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable .
1Cor.3:8 8 φυτεύων δὲ καὶ ποτίζων ἕν εἰσιν· ἕκαστος δὲ τὸν ἴδιον μισθὸν λήμψεται κατὰ τὸν ἴδιον κόπον. 8 {NEQ} The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose . And both {RPT} {RPT} will be rewarded for their own hard work .
1Cor.4:12 12καὶ κοπιῶμεν ἐργαζόμενοι ταῖς ἰδίαις χερσίν· λοιδορούμενοι εὐλογοῦμεν· διωκόμενοι ἀνεχόμεθα· 12 {NEQ} We work wearily with our own hands to earn our living . We bless those who curse us . We are patient with those who abuse us .
1Cor.6:18 18φεύγετε τὴν πορνείαν. πᾶν ἁμάρτημα ἐὰν ποιήσῃ ἄνθρωπος ἐκτὸς τοῦ σώματός ἐστιν· δὲ πορνεύων εἰς τὸ ἴδιον σῶμα ἁμαρτάνει. 18 Run from {NEQ} sexual sin ! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one {NEQ} {NEQ} does . For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body .
1Cor.7:2 2διὰ δὲ τὰς πορνείας, ἕκαστος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γυναῖκα ἐχέτω καὶ ἑκάστη τὸν ἴδιον ἄνδρα ἐχέτω. 2 But because there is so much {NEQ} sexual immorality , each man should have his own {NEQ} wife , and each woman should have her own husband .
1Cor.7:4 4 γυνὴ τοῦ ἰδίου σώματος οὐκ ἐξουσιάζει ἀλλὰ ἀνήρ, ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ ἀνὴρ τοῦ ἰδίου σώματος οὐκ ἐξουσιάζει ἀλλὰ γυνή. 4 The wife gives authority over her body to her husband , and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife .
1Cor.7:7 7θέλω δὲ πάντας ἀνθρώπους εἶναι, ὡς καὶ ἐμαυτόν. ἀλλὰ ἕκαστος ἴδιον ἔχει χάρισμα ἐκ θεοῦ· μὲν οὕτως, δὲ οὕτως. 7 But I wish everyone were single , just as I am . Yet each person has a special gift from God , {NEQ} {NEQ} of one kind {NEQ} or another .
1Cor.7:37 37ὃς δὲ ἕστηκεν ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἑδραῖος μὴ ἔχων ἀνάγκην ἐξουσίαν δὲ ἔχει περὶ τοῦ ἰδίου θελήματος καὶ τοῦτο κέκρικεν ἐν τῇ ἰδίᾳ καρδίᾳ τηρεῖν τὴν ἑαυτοῦ παρθένον, καλῶς ποιήσει. 37 But if he {NEQ} {NEQ} has decided firmly {RPT} not to marry and there is no urgency and he can control his passion , he does well not to marry .
1Cor.9:7 7τίς στρατεύεται ἰδίοις ὀψωνίοις ποτέ; τίς φυτεύει ἀμπελῶνα καὶ τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐσθίει; τίς ποιμαίνει ποίμνην καὶ ἐκ τοῦ γάλακτος τῆς ποίμνης οὐκ ἐσθίει; 7 What {NEQ} soldier has to pay his own expenses ? What farmer plants a vineyard and doesn’t have the right to eat some of its fruit ? {RPT} What shepherd cares for a flock of sheep and isn’t allowed to drink some of the milk {RPT} {RPT} ?
1Cor.11:21 21ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον δεῖπνον προλαμβάνει ἐν τῷ φαγεῖν· καί, ὃς μὲν πεινᾷ ὃς δὲ μεθύει. 21 For some of you hurry {NEQ} {NEQ} to eat your own meal without sharing with others . As a result , some go hungry while others get drunk .
1Cor.14:35 35εἰ δέ τι μαθεῖν θέλουσιν, ἐν οἴκῳ τοὺς ἰδίους ἄνδρας ἐπερωτάτωσαν, αἰσχρὸν γάρ ἐστιν γυναικὶ λαλεῖν ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ. 35 {NEQ} If they have any questions , they should ask their husbands at home , for it is improper for women to speak in church meetings .  * 
1Cor.15:23 23ἕκαστος δὲ ἐν τῷ ἰδίῳ τάγματι· ἀπαρχὴ Χριστός, ἔπειτα οἱ τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ αὐτοῦ. 23 But there is an order to this resurrection : Christ was raised as the first of the harvest ; then all who {NEQ} belong to Christ will be raised when he {NEQ} comes back .
1Cor.15:38 38 δὲ θεὸς δίδωσιν αὐτῷ σῶμα καθὼς ἠθέλησεν· καὶ ἑκάστῳ τῶν σπερμάτων ἴδιον σῶμα. 38 Then {NEQ} God gives it the new body he wants it to have . {NEQ} A different plant grows from each kind of {NEQ} seed .
Gal.2:2 2ἀνέβην δὲ κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν. καὶ ἀνεθέμην αὐτοῖς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον κηρύσσω ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν κατ᾽ ἰδίαν δὲ τοῖς δοκοῦσιν· μή πως εἰς κενὸν τρέχω ἔδραμον. 2 {NEQ} I went there because God revealed to me that I should go . While I was there I met privately {NEQ} with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message {RPT} I had been preaching to the Gentiles . I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement , for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing .
Gal.6:5 5ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει. 5 For we are each responsible for our own conduct .
Gal.6:9 9τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐγκακῶμεν· καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι. 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good . {NEQ} At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up .
Eph.5:22 22αἱ γυναῖκες, τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν ὡς τῷ κυρίῳ· 22 For {NEQ} wives , this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord .
1Thes.2:14 14ὑμεῖς γάρ, μιμηταὶ ἐγενήθητε, ἀδελφοί, τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν τοῦ θεοῦ τῶν οὐσῶν ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ· ὅτι τὰ αὐτὰ ἐπάθετε καὶ ὑμεῖς ὑπὸ τῶν ἰδίων συμφυλετῶν, καθὼς καὶ αὐτοὶ ὑπὸ τῶν Ἰουδαίων· 14 And then , dear brothers and sisters , {NEQ} {NEQ} you suffered persecution from your own countrymen . In this way , you imitated the believers in {NEQ} God’s {RPT} churches {RPT} in {NEQ} Judea who , because of their belief in Christ Jesus , {NEQ} {NEQ} suffered from {RPT} their own people , the Jews .
1Tim.2:6 6 δοὺς ἑαυτὸν ἀντίλυτρον ὑπὲρ πάντων· τὸ μαρτύριον καιροῖς ἰδίοις. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone . This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time .
1Tim.3:4 4τοῦ ἰδίου οἴκου καλῶς προϊστάμενον, τέκνα ἔχοντα ἐν ὑποταγῇ μετὰ πάσης σεμνότητος· 4 He must manage his own family well , having children who respect and obey him .
1Tim.3:5 5εἰ δέ τις τοῦ ἰδίου οἴκου προστῆναι οὐκ οἶδεν, πῶς ἐκκλησίας θεοῦ ἐπιμελήσεται; 5 For if a man cannot manage his own household , how can he take care of God’s church ?
1Tim.3:12 12διάκονοι ἔστωσαν μιᾶς γυναικὸς ἄνδρες, τέκνων καλῶς προϊστάμενοι καὶ τῶν ἰδίων οἴκων. 12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife , and he must manage his children and household well .
1Tim.4:2 2ἐν ὑποκρίσει ψευδολόγων, κεκαυστηριασμένων τὴν ἰδίαν συνείδησιν· 2 These people are hypocrites and liars , and their consciences are dead .  * 
1Tim.5:4 4εἰ δέ τις χήρα τέκνα ἔκγονα ἔχει, μανθανέτωσαν πρῶτον τὸν ἴδιον οἶκον εὐσεβεῖν καὶ ἀμοιβὰς ἀποδιδόναι τοῖς προγόνοις· τοῦτο γάρ ἐστιν ἀπόδεκτον ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ. 4 But if she has children or grandchildren , their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them . {NEQ} This is something that pleases {NEQ} God .
1Tim.6:1 1ὅσοι εἰσὶν ὑπὸ ζυγὸν δοῦλοι τοὺς ἰδίους δεσπότας πάσης τιμῆς ἀξίους ἡγείσθωσαν ἵνα μὴ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ διδασκαλία βλασφημῆται. 6:1 All slaves should show full respect for their masters so they will not bring shame on the name of {NEQ} God and his teaching .
1Tim.6:15 15ἣν καιροῖς ἰδίοις δείξει μακάριος καὶ μόνος δυνάστης, βασιλεὺς τῶν βασιλευόντων καὶ κύριος τῶν κυριευόντων· 15 For , At just the right time {RPT} Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and only almighty God , the King of all kings and Lord of all lords .
2Tim.1:9 9τοῦ σώσαντος ἡμᾶς καὶ καλέσαντος κλήσει ἁγίᾳ· οὐ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν, ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἰδίαν πρόθεσιν— καὶ χάριν τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ— πρὸ χρόνων αἰωνίων· 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life . He did this , not because we deserved it , but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time to show us his {NEQ} grace through Christ Jesus .
2Tim.4:3 3ἔσται γὰρ καιρὸς ὅτε τῆς ὑγιαινούσης διδασκαλίας οὐκ ἀνέξονται· ἀλλὰ κατὰ τὰς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας ἑαυτοῖς ἐπισωρεύσουσιν διδασκάλους κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοήν· 3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to {NEQ} sound and wholesome teaching . {NEQ} They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear .
Titus.1:3 3ἐφανέρωσεν δὲ καιροῖς ἰδίοις τὸν λόγον αὐτοῦ, ἐν κηρύγματι. ἐπιστεύθην ἐγὼ κατ᾽ ἐπιταγὴν τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν θεοῦ. 3 And now at just the right time he has revealed this {NEQ} message , which we announce to everyone . It is by the command of God our {NEQ} Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him .
Titus.1:12 12εἶπέν τις ἐξ αὐτῶν ἴδιος αὐτῶν, προφήτης, Κρῆτες ἀεὶ ψεῦσται, κακὰ θηρία, γαστέρες ἀργαί. 12 Even one of their own men , a prophet from Crete , has said about them , The people of Crete are all liars , cruel animals , and lazy gluttons .  * 
Titus.2:5 5σώφρονας, ἁγνάς, οἰκουργούς, ἀγαθάς, ὑποτασσομένας τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν· ἵνα μὴ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ βλασφημῆται. 5 to live wisely and be pure , to work in their homes ,  *  to do good , and to be submissive to {NEQ} their husbands . Then they will not bring shame on the word of {NEQ} God .
Titus.2:9 9δούλους ἰδίοις δεσπόταις ὑποτάσσεσθαι ἐν πᾶσιν εὐαρέστους εἶναι· μὴ ἀντιλέγοντας 9 Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them . They must not talk back
Heb.4:10 10 γὰρ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὴν κατάπαυσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς κατέπαυσεν ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ, ὥσπερ ἀπὸ τῶν ἰδίων θεός. 10 For all who have entered into God’s {NEQ} rest {NEQ} {RPT} have rested from their {NEQ} labors , just as {NEQ} God did after creating the world .
Heb.7:27 27ὃς οὐκ ἔχει καθ᾽ ἡμέραν ἀνάγκην· ὥσπερ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς, πρότερον ὑπὲρ τῶν ἰδίων ἁμαρτιῶν θυσίας ἀναφέρειν ἔπειτα τῶν τοῦ λαοῦ· τοῦτο γὰρ ἐποίησεν ἐφάπαξ ἑαυτὸν ἀνενέγκας. 27 Unlike those other high priests , he does not need to offer sacrifices every day . They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people . But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins .
Heb.9:12 12οὐδὲ δι᾽ αἵματος τράγων καὶ μόσχων— διὰ δὲ τοῦ ἰδίου αἵματος— εἰσῆλθεν ἐφάπαξ εἰς τὰ ἅγια αἰωνίαν λύτρωσιν εὑράμενος. 12 With {NEQ} his own blood not {RPT} the blood of goats and calves he entered {RPT} the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever .
Heb.13:12 12διὸ καὶ Ἰησοῦς ἵνα ἁγιάσῃ διὰ τοῦ ἰδίου αἵματος τὸν λαὸν ἔξω τῆς πύλης ἔπαθεν. 12 So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood .
Jas.1:14 14ἕκαστος δὲ πειράζεται ὑπὸ τῆς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας, ἐξελκόμενος καὶ δελεαζόμενος· 14 {NEQ} {NEQ} Temptation comes from our own desires , which entice us and drag us away .
1Pet.3:1 1ὁμοίως, αἱ γυναῖκες, ὑποτασσόμεναι τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν· ἵνα καί, εἴ τινες ἀπειθοῦσιν τῷ λόγῳ, διὰ τῆς τῶν γυναικῶν ἀναστροφῆς ἄνευ λόγου· κερδηθήσονται 3:1 In the same way , you wives must accept the authority of {NEQ} your husbands . Then , even if some refuse to obey the Good News , your godly {NEQ} lives will speak to them without any words . They will be won over
1Pet.3:5 5οὕτως γάρ ποτε καὶ αἱ ἅγιαι γυναῖκες (αἱ ἐλπίζουσαι εἰς θεόν) ἐκόσμουν ἑαυτάς· ὑποτασσόμεναι τοῖς ἰδίοις ἀνδράσιν· 5 This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful . They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands .
2Pet.1:3 3ὡς πάντα ἡμῖν, τῆς θείας δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ, τὰ πρὸς ζωὴν καὶ εὐσέβειαν δεδωρημένης· διὰ τῆς ἐπιγνώσεως τοῦ καλέσαντος ἡμᾶς, ἰδίᾳ δόξῃ καὶ ἀρετῇ· 3 {NEQ} By his divine power , {NEQ} God has given us everything {NEQ} we need for living a godly life . We have received all of this by {NEQ} coming to know him , the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence .
2Pet.1:20 20τοῦτο πρῶτον γινώσκοντες, ὅτι πᾶσα προφητεία γραφῆς ἰδίας ἐπιλύσεως οὐ γίνεται, 20 Above all , you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding ,  * 
2Pet.2:16 16ἔλεγξιν δὲ ἔσχεν ἰδίας παρανομίας ὑποζύγιον ἄφωνον ἐν ἀνθρώπου φωνῇ φθεγξάμενον ἐκώλυσεν τὴν τοῦ προφήτου παραφρονίαν. 16 But Balaam was stopped from his {NEQ} mad course when his donkey rebuked him with a human voice .
2Pet.2:22 22συμβέβηκεν αὐτοῖς τὸ τῆς ἀληθοῦς παροιμίας· Κύων ἐπιστρέψας ἐπὶ τὸ ἴδιον ἐξέραμα· καί, Ὗς λουσαμένη εἰς κυλισμὸν βορβόρου. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb : A dog returns to its vomit .  *  And another says , A washed pig returns to the mud .
2Pet.3:3 3τοῦτο πρῶτον γινώσκοντες, ὅτι ἐλεύσονται ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐν ἐμπαιγμονῇ ἐμπαῖκται, κατὰ τὰς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας αὐτῶν πορευόμενοι· 3   Most importantly , I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come , mocking the truth and following their {NEQ} own desires .
2Pet.3:16 16ὡς καὶ ἐν πάσαις ἐπιστολαῖς λαλῶν ἐν αὐταῖς περὶ τούτων· ἐν αἷς ἐστὶν δυσνόητά τινα, οἱ ἀμαθεῖς καὶ ἀστήρικτοι στρεβλοῦσιν, ὡς καὶ τὰς λοιπὰς γραφάς— πρὸς τὴν ἰδίαν αὐτῶν ἀπώλειαν. 16 {NEQ} {NEQ} speaking of these things in all of his letters {RPT} . Some of his comments are hard to understand , and {RPT} those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different , just as they do with other parts of Scripture . And this will result in {NEQ} their destruction .
2Pet.3:17 17ὑμεῖς οὖν ἀγαπητοί, προγινώσκοντες· φυλάσσεσθε ἵνα μὴ τῇ τῶν ἀθέσμων πλάνῃ συναπαχθέντες ἐκπέσητε τοῦ ἰδίου στηριγμοῦ· 17 {NEQ} I am warning you ahead of time , dear friends . Be on guard so that you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing .
