1Cor.15:17 17εἰ δὲ Χριστὸς οὐκ ἐγήγερται, ματαία πίστις ὑμῶν ἐστίν, ἔτι ἐστὲ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν. 17 And if Christ has not been raised , then your {NEQ} faith is useless and you are still guilty of your {NEQ} sins .
Titus.3:9 9μωρὰς δὲ ζητήσεις καὶ γενεαλογίας καὶ ἔρεις καὶ μάχας νομικὰς περιίστασο· εἰσὶν γὰρ ἀνωφελεῖς καὶ μάταιοι. 9 {NEQ} Do not get involved in foolish discussions about {NEQ} spiritual pedigrees  *  or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws . {NEQ} These things are useless and a waste of time .
Jas.1:26 26εἴ τις δοκεῖ θρησκὸς εἶναι μὴ χαλιναγωγῶν γλῶσσαν αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ ἀπατῶν καρδίαν ἑαυτοῦ, τούτου μάταιος θρησκεία. 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue , {NEQ} you are fooling yourself , and your {NEQ} religion is worthless .
1Pet.1:18 18εἰδότες ὅτι οὐ φθαρτοῖς, ἀργυρίῳ χρυσίῳ ἐλυτρώθητε· ἐκ τῆς ματαίας ὑμῶν ἀναστροφῆς πατροπαραδότου· 18 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors . And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver .
