1Cor.15:45 45οὕτως καὶ γέγραπται, Ἐγένετο ὁ πρῶτος ἄνθρωπος, Ἀδάμ, εἰς ψυχὴν ζῶσαν· ὁ ἔσχατος Ἀδάμ— εἰς πνεῦμα ζωοποιοῦν. 45 {NEQ} {NEQ} The Scriptures tell us , “ The first man , Adam , became a living person . ”  *  But the last Adam — that is , Christ — is a life-giving Spirit .
1Cor.15:47 47ὁ πρῶτος ἄνθρωπος, ἐκ γῆς χοϊκός, ὁ δεύτερος ἄνθρωπος, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ. 47 Adam , the first man , was made from the dust of the earth , while Christ , the second man , came from heaven .
Eph.6:2 2 Τίμα τὸν πατέρα σου καὶ τὴν μητέρα· ἥτις ἐστὶν ἐντολὴ πρώτη ἐν ἐπαγγελίᾳ, 2 “ Honor your {NEQ} father and {RPT} mother . ” This is the first commandment with a promise :
Phil.1:5 5ἐπὶ τῇ κοινωνίᾳ ὑμῶν εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἀπὸ τῆς πρώτης ἡμέρας ἄχρι τοῦ νῦν· 5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now .
1Tim.1:15 15πιστὸς ὁ λόγος, καὶ πάσης ἀποδοχῆς ἄξιος ὅτι· Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἁμαρτωλοὺς σῶσαι— ὧν πρῶτός εἰμι ἐγώ. 15 This is a trustworthy saying , and everyone should accept it : “ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners ” — and I am the worst of them all .
1Tim.1:16 16ἀλλὰ διὰ τοῦτο ἠλεήθην, ἵνα ἐν ἐμοὶ πρώτῳ ἐνδείξηται Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς τὴν ἅπασαν μακροθυμίαν πρὸς ὑποτύπωσιν· τῶν μελλόντων πιστεύειν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον. 16 But {NEQ} {NEQ} God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could {RPT} use me as a prime example of his great {NEQ} patience with even the worst sinners . Then others will realize that they , too , can believe in him and receive eternal life .
1Tim.2:13 13Ἀδὰμ γὰρ πρῶτος ἐπλάσθη, εἶτα Εὕα. 13 For God made Adam first , and afterward he made Eve .
1Tim.5:12 12ἔχουσαι κρίμα ὅτι τὴν πρώτην πίστιν ἠθέτησαν· 12 Then they would be guilty of breaking their previous pledge .
2Tim.4:16 16ἐν τῇ πρώτῃ μου ἀπολογίᾳ, οὐδείς μοι παρεγένετο· ἀλλὰ πάντες με ἐγκατέλειπον· μὴ αὐτοῖς λογισθείη· 16 {NEQ} The first time I was brought before the judge , no one came with me . {NEQ} Everyone abandoned me . May it not be counted against them .
Heb.8:7 7εἰ γὰρ ἡ πρώτη ἐκείνη ἦν ἄμεμπτος, οὐκ ἂν δευτέρας ἐζητεῖτο τόπος. 7 {NEQ} If {NEQ} the first covenant had been faultless , there would have been no need for a second covenant to replace it .
Heb.8:13 13ἐν τῷ λέγειν, Καινήν, πεπαλαίωκεν τὴν πρώτην· τὸ δὲ παλαιούμενον καὶ γηράσκον ἐγγὺς ἀφανισμοῦ. 13 When God speaks of a “ new ” covenant , it means he has made the first one obsolete . {NEQ} It is now out of date and will soon disappear .
Heb.9:1 1εἶχε μὲν οὖν καὶ ἡ πρώτη δικαιώματα λατρείας τό τε ἅγιον κοσμικόν. 9:1 {NEQ} {NEQ} {NEQ} That first covenant between God and Israel had regulations for worship and a place of worship here on earth .
Heb.9:2 2σκηνὴ γὰρ κατεσκευάσθη· ἡ πρώτη ἐν ᾗ ἥ τε λυχνία, καὶ ἡ τράπεζα, καὶ ἡ πρόθεσις τῶν ἄρτων· ἥτις λέγεται ἅγια· 2 {NEQ} There were two rooms in that Tabernacle .  *  In the first room were a {NEQ} lampstand , {NEQ} a table , and {RPT} sacred loaves of {NEQ} bread on the table . This room was called the Holy Place .
Heb.9:6 6τούτων δὲ οὕτως κατεσκευασμένων, εἰς μὲν τὴν πρώτην σκηνὴν διὰ παντὸς εἰσίασιν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὰς λατρείας ἐπιτελοῦντες· 6 {NEQ} When {NEQ} these things were all in place , the priests regularly {RPT} {NEQ} entered the first room  *  as they performed their religious duties .
Heb.9:8 8τοῦτο δηλοῦντος τοῦ πνεύματος τοῦ ἁγίου μήπω πεφανερῶσθαι τὴν τῶν ἁγίων ὁδὸν ἔτι τῆς πρώτης σκηνῆς ἐχούσης στάσιν· 8 By these regulations the {RPT} Holy Spirit revealed that the entrance to the Most Holy Place was not freely open as long as the Tabernacle  *  and the system it represented were still in use .
Heb.9:15 15καὶ διὰ τοῦτο διαθήκης καινῆς μεσίτης ἐστίν, ὅπως θανάτου γενομένου εἰς ἀπολύτρωσιν τῶν ἐπὶ τῇ πρώτῃ διαθήκῃ, παραβάσεων τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν λάβωσιν οἱ κεκλημένοι τῆς αἰωνίου κληρονομίας. 15 That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people , so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them . For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant .
Heb.9:18 18ὅθεν οὐδὲ ἡ πρώτη χωρὶς αἵματος ἐνκεκαίνισται· 18 That is why even the first covenant was put into effect with the blood of an animal .
Heb.10:9 9τότε εἴρηκεν, Ἰδού, ἥκω τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ θέλημά σου· ἀναιρεῖ τὸ πρῶτον ἵνα τὸ δεύτερον στήσῃ. 9 Then he said , “ Look , I have come {NEQ} to do your {NEQ} will . ” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect .
2Pet.2:20 20εἰ γὰρ ἀποφυγόντες τὰ μιάσματα τοῦ κόσμου ἐν ἐπιγνώσει τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν καὶ σωτῆρος Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τούτοις δὲ πάλιν ἐμπλακέντες ἡττῶνται, γέγονεν αὐτοῖς τὰ ἔσχατα χείρονα τῶν πρώτων. 20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our {NEQ} Lord and Savior Jesus Christ {RPT} and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again , they are worse off than {NEQ} before .
1Jn.4:19 19ἡμεῖς ἀγαπῶμεν ὅτι αὐτὸς πρῶτος ἠγάπησεν ἡμᾶς. 19 We love each other  *  because he loved us first .
Rev.1:17 17καὶ ὅτε εἶδον αὐτόν, ἔπεσα πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ὡς νεκρός. καὶ ἔθηκεν τὴν δεξιὰν αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ λέγων, Μὴ φοβοῦ· ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος. 17 {NEQ} When I saw him , I fell at his {NEQ} feet as if I were dead . But he laid his {NEQ} right hand on me and said , “ Don’t be afraid ! I am the First and the Last .
Rev.2:4 4ἀλλὰ ἔχω κατὰ σοῦ· ὅτι τὴν ἀγάπην σου τὴν πρώτην ἀφῆκες. 4 “ But I have this complaint against you . You don’t {NEQ} love me or each other as you did {NEQ} at first !  * 
Rev.2:5 5μνημόνευε οὖν πόθεν πέπτωκες. καὶ μετανόησον καὶ τὰ πρῶτα ἔργα ποίησον. εἰ δὲ μή, ἔρχομαί σοι καὶ κινήσω τὴν λυχνίαν σου ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆς ἐὰν μὴ μετανοήσῃς. 5 {NEQ} Look how far you have fallen ! {NEQ} Turn back to me and do the works you did at first . {NEQ} If {RPT} {RPT} you don’t repent , I will come {RPT} and remove your {NEQ} lampstand from its {NEQ} place among the churches .
Rev.2:8 8καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Σμύρνῃ ἐκκλησίας γράψον. τάδε λέγει ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, ὃς ἐγένετο νεκρὸς καὶ ἔζησεν· 8 “ {NEQ} Write this letter to the angel of the church in Smyrna . This is the message from the one who is the First and the Last , who was dead but is now alive :
Rev.2:19 19Οἶδά σου τὰ ἔργα— καὶ τὴν ἀγάπην, καὶ τὴν πίστιν, καὶ τὴν διακονίαν, καὶ τὴν ὑπομονήν σου· καὶ τὰ ἔργα σου τὰ ἔσχατα πλείονα τῶν πρώτων. 19 “ I know all the things you do . {NEQ} I have seen your love , {NEQ} your faith , {NEQ} your service , and your {NEQ} patient endurance . And I can see your constant improvement in all these things .
Rev.4:1 1μετὰ ταῦτα εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ θύρα ἠνεῳγμένη ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, καὶ ἡ φωνὴ ἡ πρώτη ἣν ἤκουσα ὡς σάλπιγγος λαλούσης μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ. λέγων, Ἀνάβα ὧδε, καὶ δείξω σοι ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι μετὰ ταῦτα. 4:1 Then as I looked , {NEQ} I saw a door standing open in {NEQ} heaven , and the {RPT} same voice {RPT} I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast . The voice said , “ Come up here , and I will show you what must happen after this . ”
Rev.4:7 7καὶ τὸ ζῷον τὸ πρῶτον ὅμοιον λέοντι, καὶ τὸ δεύτερον ζῷον ὅμοιον μόσχῳ, καὶ τὸ τρίτον ζῷον ἔχων τὸ πρόσωπον ὡς ἀνθρώπου, καὶ τὸ τέταρτον ζῷον ὅμοιον ἀετῷ πετομένῳ. 7 {NEQ} The first of these living beings was like a lion ; {NEQ} the second was {RPT} like an ox ; {NEQ} the third {RPT} had a human {NEQ} face ; and the fourth was {RPT} like an eagle in flight .
Rev.8:7 7καὶ ὁ πρῶτος ἐσάλπισεν, καὶ ἐγένετο χάλαζα καὶ πῦρ μεμιγμένα ἐν αἵματι καὶ ἐβλήθη εἰς τὴν γῆν· καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῆς γῆς κατεκάη, καὶ τὸ τρίτον τῶν δένδρων κατεκάη, καὶ πᾶς χόρτος χλωρὸς κατεκάη. 7 {NEQ} The first angel blew his trumpet , and hail and fire mixed with blood {NEQ} were thrown down on the earth . {NEQ} One-third of the earth was set on fire , {NEQ} one-third of the trees were burned , and all the green grass was burned .
Rev.13:12 12καὶ τὴν ἐξουσίαν τοῦ πρώτου θηρίου πᾶσαν ποιεῖ ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ. καὶ ποιεῖ τὴν γῆν καὶ τοὺς ἐν αὐτῇ κατοικοῦντας ἵνα προσκυνήσουσιν τὸ θηρίον τὸ πρῶτον, οὗ ἐθεραπεύθη ἡ πληγὴ τοῦ θανάτου αὐτοῦ. 12 {NEQ} He exercised {RPT} all the authority of the first beast . And he required all the earth and its people to worship the {RPT} first beast , whose fatal wound had been healed {RPT} .
Rev.16:2 2καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ἐξέχεεν τὴν φιάλην αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν γῆν, καὶ ἐγένετο ἕλκος, κακὸν καὶ πονηρόν, ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τοὺς ἔχοντας τὸ χάραγμα τοῦ θηρίου καὶ τοὺς προσκυνοῦντας τῇ εἰκόνι αὐτοῦ. 2 So the first angel left the Temple and poured out his {NEQ} bowl on the earth , and horrible , {NEQ} malignant sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his {NEQ} statue .
Rev.20:5 5(οἱ λοιποὶ τῶν νεκρῶν οὐκ ἔζησαν ἄχρι τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἔτη.) αὕτη ἡ ἀνάστασις ἡ πρώτη. 5 This is the {RPT} first resurrection . ( The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended . )
Rev.20:6 6μακάριος καὶ ἅγιος ὁ ἔχων μέρος ἐν τῇ ἀναστάσει τῇ πρώτῃ· ἐπὶ τούτων ὁ δεύτερος θάνατος οὐκ ἔχει ἐξουσίαν, ἀλλ᾽ ἔσονται ἱερεῖς τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ τοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ βασιλεύσουσιν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ τὰ χίλια ἔτη. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the {RPT} first resurrection . For them the second death holds no power , but they will be priests of {NEQ} God and of {NEQ} Christ and will reign with him a thousand years .
Rev.21:1 1καὶ εἶδον οὐρανὸν καινὸν καὶ γῆν καινήν, ὁ γὰρ πρῶτος οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ πρώτη γῆ ἀπῆλθαν· καὶ ἡ θάλασσα οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι. 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth , for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared . And the sea was also gone .
Rev.21:4 4καὶ ἐξαλείψει πᾶν δάκρυον ἐκ τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ θάνατος οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι οὔτε πένθος οὔτε κραυγὴ οὔτε πόνος οὐκ ἔσται ἔτι. ὅτι τὰ πρῶτα ἀπῆλθαν. 4 {NEQ} He will wipe every tear from {NEQ} their {NEQ} eyes , and there will be no more {NEQ} death or sorrow or crying or pain {RPT} {RPT} {RPT} . {NEQ} All these things are gone forever . ”
Rev.21:19 19οἱ θεμέλιοι τοῦ τείχους τῆς πόλεως παντὶ λίθῳ τιμίῳ κεκοσμημένοι· ὁ θεμέλιος ὁ πρῶτος ἴασπις, ὁ δεύτερος σάπφειρος, ὁ τρίτος χαλκηδών, ὁ τέταρτος σμάραγδος, 19 The wall of the city was built on {NEQ} foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones :  *  {RPT} {RPT} the first was jasper , the second sapphire , the third agate , the fourth emerald ,
Rev.22:13 13ἐγὼ τὸ ἄλφα καὶ τὸ ὦ, ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, ἡ ἀρχὴ καὶ τὸ τέλος. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega , the First and the Last , the Beginning and the End . ”
