John.10:15 15καθὼς γινώσκει με ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ γινώσκω τὸν πατέρα. καὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου τίθημι ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων. 15 just as my Father knows me and I know the Father . So I sacrifice my {NEQ} life for the sheep .

John.11:52 52καὶ οὐχ ὑπὲρ τοῦ ἔθνους μόνον, ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα καὶ τὰ τέκνα τοῦ θεοῦ τὰ διεσκορπισμένα συναγάγῃ εἰς ἕν. 52 And not only for that nation , but to bring together and unite all the children of {NEQ} God {NEQ} scattered around the world .

John.13:38 38ἀποκρίνεται Ἰησοῦς, Τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις; ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσῃ, ἕως οὗ ἀρνήσῃ με τρίς. 38 Jesus answered , “ Die for me {RPT} ? I tell you the truth , Peter — before the rooster crows tomorrow morning , you will deny three times that you even know me .

John.17:19 19καὶ ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν ἐγὼ ἁγιάζω ἐμαυτὸν ἵνα ὦσιν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἡγιασμένοι ἐν ἀληθείᾳ. 19 And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so {NEQ} they can be made holy by your truth .
John.18:14 14ἦν δὲ Καιάφας ὁ συμβουλεύσας τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις ὅτι, Συμφέρει ἕνα ἄνθρωπον ἀποθανεῖν ὑπὲρ τοῦ λαοῦ. 14 {NEQ} Caiaphas was the one who had told the other Jewish leaders , “ It’s better that one man should die for the people . ”
Acts.5:41 41οἱ μὲν οὖν ἐπορεύοντο χαίροντες ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ συνεδρίου ὅτι κατηξιώθησαν ὑπὲρ τοῦ ὀνόματος ἀτιμασθῆναι. 41 {NEQ} {NEQ} The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus .  *

Acts.21:26 26τότε ὁ Παῦλος παραλαβὼν τοὺς ἄνδρας τῇ ἐχομένῃ ἡμέρᾳ σὺν αὐτοῖς ἁγνισθεὶς εἰσῄει εἰς τὸ ἱερόν· διαγγέλλων τὴν ἐκπλήρωσιν τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ ἁγνισμοῦ ἕως οὗ προσηνέχθη ὑπὲρ ἑνὸς ἑκάστου αὐτῶν ἡ προσφορά. 26 So {NEQ} Paul went to {RPT} the Temple the next day with the other men {RPT} . They had already started the purification ritual , so he publicly announced the date {NEQ} when their vows would end and {NEQ} sacrifices would be offered for each of them .
Acts.26:1 1Ἀγρίππας δὲ πρὸς τὸν Παῦλον ἔφη, Ἐπιτρέπεταί σοι ὑπὲρ σεαυτοῦ λέγειν. τότε ὁ Παῦλος, ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα, ἀπελογεῖτο· 26:1 Then Agrippa said to {NEQ} Paul , “ You may speak in your defense . ” So {NEQ} Paul , gesturing with his hand , started his defense :
Acts.26:13 13ἡμέρας μέσης, κατὰ τὴν ὁδὸν εἶδον, βασιλεῦ, οὐρανόθεν ὑπὲρ τὴν λαμπρότητα τοῦ ἡλίου περιλάμψαν με φῶς καὶ τοὺς σὺν ἐμοὶ πορευομένους. 13 About noon , Your Majesty , as I was on the road , {NEQ} a light from heaven brighter than the sun shone down on me and my companions .
Rom.1:5 5δι᾽ οὗ, ἐλάβομεν χάριν καὶ ἀποστολήν, εἰς ὑπακοὴν πίστεως, ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ὑπὲρ τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ· 5 Through Christ , God has given us the privilege and authority  *  as apostles to tell {NEQ} Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them , so that they will believe and obey him , bringing glory to his {NEQ} name .
Rom.5:6 6ἔτι γὰρ Χριστὸς ὄντων ἡμῶν ἀσθενῶν ἔτι, κατὰ καιρὸν ὑπὲρ ἀσεβῶν ἀπέθανεν. 6 When {NEQ} we were utterly helpless , Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners .
Rom.5:7 7μόλις, γάρ, ὑπὲρ δικαίου τις ἀποθανεῖται, ὑπὲρ γὰρ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ τάχα τις καὶ τολμᾷ ἀποθανεῖν. 7 Now , most people would not be willing to die for an upright person , though someone might perhaps {NEQ} be willing to die for a person who is especially good .
Rom.5:8 8συνίστησιν δὲ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀγάπην εἰς ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ὅτι ἔτι ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄντων ἡμῶν Χριστὸς ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν. 8 But {NEQ} God showed his great {NEQ} love for us by sending Christ to die for us {NEQ} while we were still sinners .
Rom.8:27 27ὁ δὲ ἐραυνῶν τὰς καρδίας οἶδεν τί τὸ φρόνημα τοῦ πνεύματος, ὅτι κατὰ θεὸν ἐντυγχάνει ὑπὲρ ἁγίων. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying , for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will .
Rom.8:31 31τί οὖν ἐροῦμεν πρὸς ταῦτα; εἰ ὁ θεὸς ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν, τίς καθ᾽ ἡμῶν; 31 {NEQ} What shall we say about such wonderful things as these ? If {NEQ} God is for us , who can ever be against us ?
Rom.8:32 32ὅς γε τοῦ ἰδίου υἱοῦ οὐκ ἐφείσατο ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πάντων παρέδωκεν αὐτόν, πῶς οὐχὶ καὶ σὺν αὐτῷ τὰ πάντα ἡμῖν χαρίσεται; 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all , {NEQ} won’t he also give us {NEQ} {RPT} everything else ?
Rom.8:34 34τίς ὁ κατακρινῶν; Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς ὁ ἀποθανὼν μᾶλλον δὲ ἐγερθείς ὃς ἐστιν ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ θεοῦ, ὃς καὶ ἐντυγχάνει ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν. 34 Who {NEQ} then will condemn us ? No one — for Christ Jesus {NEQ} died for us and was raised to life for us , and he is sitting in the place of honor at {NEQ} God’s right hand , {RPT} {NEQ} pleading for us .
Rom.9:3 3ηὐχόμην γὰρ ἀνάθεμα εἶναι αὐτὸς ἐγὼ ἀπὸ τοῦ Χριστοῦ— ὑπὲρ τῶν ἀδελφῶν μου, τῶν συγγενῶν μου κατὰ σάρκα· 3 for my {NEQ} people , my Jewish {NEQ} brothers and sisters .  *  {NEQ} I would be willing to be forever cursed — cut off from {NEQ} Christ ! — if that would save them .
Rom.9:27 27Ἠσαΐας δέ, κράζει ὑπὲρ τοῦ Ἰσραήλ, Ἐὰν ᾖ ὁ ἀριθμὸς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ὡς ἡ ἄμμος τῆς θαλάσσης, τὸ ὑπόλειμμα σωθήσεται· 27 And concerning {NEQ} Israel , Isaiah the prophet cried out , “ Though the people of Israel are as numerous as the sand of the seashore , only a remnant will be saved .
Rom.10:1 1ἀδελφοί, ἡ μὲν εὐδοκία τῆς ἐμῆς καρδίας καὶ ἡ δέησις πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν εἰς σωτηρίαν. 10:1 Dear brothers and sisters ,  *  {NEQ} the longing of {NEQ} my heart and my prayer to {NEQ} God is for the people of Israel to be saved .
Rom.14:15 15εἰ γὰρ διὰ βρῶμα ὁ ἀδελφός σου λυπεῖται, οὐκέτι κατὰ ἀγάπην περιπατεῖς. μὴ τῷ βρώματί σου ἐκεῖνον ἀπόλλυε ὑπὲρ οὗ Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν. 15 And if another {NEQ} believer is distressed by what you eat , you are not acting in love if you eat it . Don’t let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died .
Rom.15:8 8λέγω γὰρ Χριστὸν διάκονον γεγενῆσθαι περιτομῆς ὑπὲρ ἀληθείας θεοῦ εἰς τὸ βεβαιῶσαι τὰς ἐπαγγελίας τῶν πατέρων. 8 Remember that {NEQ} Christ came as a servant to the Jews  *  to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors .
Rom.15:9 9τὰ δὲ ἔθνη ὑπὲρ ἐλέους δοξάσαι τὸν θεόν, καθὼς γέγραπται· Διὰ τοῦτο, ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι ἐν ἔθνεσι· καὶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ψαλῶ. 9 He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to {NEQ} God for his mercies to them . That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote : “ For this , I will praise you among the Gentiles ; {NEQ} I will sing praises to your {NEQ} name . ”  * 
Rom.15:30 30παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, διὰ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, καὶ διὰ τῆς ἀγάπης τοῦ πνεύματος, συναγωνίσασθαί μοι ἐν ταῖς προσευχαῖς ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ πρὸς τὸν θεόν· 30 Dear brothers and sisters , {NEQ} I urge you in the name of our {NEQ} Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to {NEQ} God for me . {NEQ} Do this because of your {NEQ} love for me , given to you by the Holy Spirit .
Rom.16:4 4οἵτινες ὑπὲρ τῆς ψυχῆς μου τὸν ἑαυτῶν τράχηλον ὑπέθηκαν· οἷς οὐκ ἐγὼ μόνος εὐχαριστῶ, ἀλλὰ καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἐκκλησίαι τῶν ἐθνῶν· 4 In fact , they once risked their lives for me . I am thankful to them , and so are all the {NEQ} Gentile churches .
1Cor.1:13 13μεμέρισται ὁ Χριστός; μὴ Παῦλος ἐσταυρώθη ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν; ἢ εἰς τὸ ὄνομα Παύλου ἐβαπτίσθητε; 13 Has {NEQ} Christ been divided into factions ? Was I , Paul , crucified for you ? {NEQ} Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul ? Of course not !
1Cor.4:6 6ταῦτα δέ, ἀδελφοί, μετεσχημάτισα εἰς ἐμαυτὸν καὶ Ἀπολλὼν δι᾽ ὑμᾶς· ἵνα ἐν ἡμῖν μάθητε τό Μὴ ὑπὲρ ἃ γέγραπται, ἵνα μὴ εἷς ὕπερ τοῦ ἑνὸς φυσιοῦσθε κατὰ τοῦ ἑτέρου. 6 Dear brothers and sisters ,  *  {NEQ} I have used Apollos and myself to illustrate what I’ve been saying {NEQ} {RPT} . {NEQ} {NEQ} {RPT} If {NEQ} you pay attention to what I have quoted from the Scriptures ,  *  you won’t be proud of one of your leaders at the expense of {NEQ} another .
1Cor.10:13 13πειρασμὸς ὑμᾶς οὐκ εἴληφεν εἰ μὴ ἀνθρώπινος· πιστὸς δὲ ὁ θεός· ὃς οὐκ ἐάσει ὑμᾶς πειρασθῆναι ὑπὲρ ὃ δύνασθε· ἀλλὰ ποιήσει σὺν τῷ πειρασμῷ καὶ τὴν ἔκβασιν, τοῦ δύνασθαι ὑπενεγκεῖν. 13 The temptations in {NEQ} {NEQ} your life are no different from what others experience . And {NEQ} God is faithful . He will not allow the temptation to be more than {RPT} you can stand . When you are tempted , {NEQ} he will show you a way out so that you can endure .
1Cor.10:30 30εἰ ἐγὼ χάριτι μετέχω, τί βλασφημοῦμαι ὑπὲρ οὗ ἐγὼ εὐχαριστῶ; 30 If I can thank God for the food and enjoy it , why should I be condemned for eating it ?
1Cor.11:24 24καὶ εὐχαριστήσας. ἔκλασεν καὶ εἶπεν, Τοῦτό μού ἐστιν τὸ σῶμα, τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν· τοῦτο ποιεῖτε εἰς τὴν ἐμὴν ἀνάμνησιν. 24 and gave thanks to God for it . Then he broke it in pieces and said , “ This is my {NEQ} body , which is given for you .  *  Do this to remember {NEQ} me . ”

1Cor.15:29 29ἐπεὶ τί ποιήσουσιν οἱ βαπτιζόμενοι ὑπὲρ τῶν νεκρῶν, εἰ ὅλως νεκροὶ οὐκ ἐγείρονται; τί καὶ βαπτίζονται ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν; 29 If the dead will not be raised , what point is there in people being baptized for those who are dead ? Why {NEQ} do it {RPT} unless the dead will someday rise again ?
2Cor.1:6 6εἴτε δὲ θλιβόμεθα, ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑμῶν, παρακλήσεως καὶ σωτηρίας· εἴτε παρακαλούμεθα, ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑμῶν παρακλήσεως, τῆς ἐνεργουμένης ἐν ὑπομονῇ τῶν αὐτῶν παθημάτων ὧν καὶ ἡμεῖς πάσχομεν. 6 Even when we are weighed down with troubles , it is for your {NEQ} comfort and salvation ! For when we ourselves are comforted , we will certainly comfort you . Then you {NEQ} can patiently endure the same things {RPT} {NEQ} we suffer .
2Cor.1:7 7καὶ ἡ ἐλπὶς ἡμῶν βεβαία ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν εἰδότες ὅτι ὡς κοινωνοί ἐστε τῶν παθημάτων, οὕτως καὶ τῆς παρακλήσεως. 7 {NEQ} We {NEQ} are confident {RPT} {NEQ} that as you share in our sufferings , you will also share in the comfort God gives us .
2Cor.1:8 8οὐ γὰρ θέλομεν ὑμᾶς ἀγνοεῖν, ἀδελφοί, ὑπὲρ τῆς θλίψεως ἡμῶν τῆς γενομένης ἐν τῇ Ἀσίᾳ. ὅτι καθ᾽ ὑπερβολὴν ὑπὲρ δύναμιν ἐβαρήθημεν, ὥστε ἐξαπορηθῆναι ἡμᾶς καὶ τοῦ ζῆν· 8 {NEQ} We think you ought to know , dear brothers and sisters ,  *  about the trouble we {RPT} went through in the province of Asia . {NEQ} We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure , and we thought we would never live through it .
2Cor.1:11 11συνυπουργούντων καὶ ὑμῶν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν τῇ δεήσει· ἵνα ἐκ πολλῶν προσώπων τὸ εἰς ἡμᾶς χάρισμα διὰ πολλῶν εὐχαριστηθῇ ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν. 11 And you are helping us by {NEQ} praying for us . Then {NEQ} many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers {NEQ} {RPT} for our safety .
2Cor.5:12 12οὐ πάλιν ἑαυτοὺς συνιστάνομεν ὑμῖν; ἀλλά, ἀφορμὴν διδόντες ὑμῖν καυχήματος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν, ἵνα ἔχητε πρὸς τοὺς ἐν προσώπῳ καυχωμένους καὶ μὴ ἐν καρδίᾳ. 12 Are we commending ourselves to you again ? No {RPT} , we are giving you a reason to be proud of us ,  *  so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart .
2Cor.5:14 14ἡ γὰρ ἀγάπη τοῦ Χριστοῦ συνέχει ἡμᾶς· κρίναντας τοῦτο ὅτι εἷς ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀπέθανεν, ἄρα οἱ πάντες ἀπέθανον. 14 Either way , {NEQ} Christ’s {NEQ} love controls us .  *  Since we believe {RPT} that Christ died for all , we also believe that we have all died to our old life .  * 
2Cor.5:15 15καὶ ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀπέθανεν ἵνα οἱ ζῶντες μηκέτι ἑαυτοῖς ζῶσιν· ἀλλά, τῷ ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν ἀποθανόντι καὶ ἐγερθέντι. 15 {NEQ} He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves . Instead , they will live for Christ , who died and was raised for them .
2Cor.5:20 20ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ οὖν πρεσβεύομεν· ὡς τοῦ θεοῦ παρακαλοῦντος δι᾽ ἡμῶν. δεόμεθα ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ, Καταλλάγητε τῷ θεῷ. 20 So we are {RPT} Christ’s ambassadors ; {NEQ} {NEQ} God is making his appeal through us . We speak for Christ when we plead , “ Come back to {NEQ} God ! ”
2Cor.5:21 21τὸν μὴ γνόντα ἁμαρτίαν, ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἁμαρτίαν ἐποίησεν, ἵνα ἡμεῖς γενώμεθα δικαιοσύνη θεοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ. 21 For God made Christ , who never sinned , to be the offering for our sin ,  *  so that we could be made right with God through Christ .
2Cor.7:4 4πολλή μοι παρρησία πρὸς ὑμᾶς, πολλή μοι καύχησις ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν. πεπλήρωμαι τῇ παρακλήσει ὑπερπερισσεύομαι τῇ χαρᾷ ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ θλίψει ἡμῶν. 4 I have the highest confidence in you , and I take great pride in you . You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our {NEQ} troubles .
2Cor.7:7 7οὐ μόνον δὲ ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν τῇ παρακλήσει ᾗ παρεκλήθη ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν· ἀναγγέλλων ἡμῖν τὴν ὑμῶν ἐπιπόθησιν, τὸν ὑμῶν ὀδυρμόν, τὸν ὑμῶν ζῆλον ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ, ὥστε με μᾶλλον χαρῆναι. 7 His {NEQ} presence was a joy {NEQ} {NEQ} {NEQ} {NEQ} , but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received {RPT} from you . When he told us {NEQ} how much you long to see me , and {NEQ} how sorry you are for what happened , and {NEQ} how loyal you are to me , {NEQ} I was filled with joy !
2Cor.7:12 12ἄρα εἰ καί, ἔγραψα ὑμῖν οὐχ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικήσαντος οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικηθέντος· ἀλλ᾽ ἕνεκεν τοῦ φανερωθῆναι τὴν σπουδὴν ὑμῶν τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ. 12 My purpose , then , was not to write about {RPT} who did the wrong or {RPT} who was wronged . I wrote to you so that in the sight of {NEQ} God {NEQ} you could see for yourselves how {NEQ} loyal you {RPT} are to us .
2Cor.7:14 14ὅτι εἴ τι αὐτῷ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κεκαύχημαι— οὐ κατῃσχύνθην. ἀλλ᾽ ὡς πάντα ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἐλαλήσαμεν ὑμῖν, οὕτως καὶ ἡ καύχησις ἡμῶν ἡ ἐπὶ Τίτου ἀλήθεια ἐγενήθη. 14 {NEQ} {NEQ} I had told him how proud I was of you — and you didn’t disappoint me . {NEQ} {NEQ} I have always told you the truth , and now my {NEQ} boasting to Titus has also proved {RPT} true !
2Cor.8:16 16χάρις δὲ τῷ θεῷ· τῷ διδόντι τὴν αὐτὴν σπουδὴν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ Τίτου· 16 But thank {NEQ} God ! He has given Titus the same enthusiasm for you that I have .
2Cor.8:23 23εἴτε ὑπὲρ Τίτου, κοινωνὸς ἐμὸς καὶ εἰς ὑμᾶς συνεργός· εἴτε ἀδελφοὶ ἡμῶν ἀπόστολοι ἐκκλησιῶν, δόξα Χριστοῦ. 23 If anyone asks about Titus , say that he is my partner who {NEQ} works with me to help you . And the brothers {RPT} with him have been sent by the churches ,  *  and they bring honor to Christ .
2Cor.8:24 24τὴν οὖν ἔνδειξιν τῆς ἀγάπης ὑμῶν, καὶ ἡμῶν καυχήσεως ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν εἰς αὐτοὺς ἐνδείξασθε εἰς πρόσωπον τῶν ἐκκλησιῶν. 24 So show them your {NEQ} love , and prove to all the churches that our boasting about {NEQ} {RPT} you is justified .
2Cor.9:2 2οἶδα γὰρ τὴν προθυμίαν ὑμῶν, ἣν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καυχῶμαι Μακεδόσιν ὅτι Ἀχαΐα παρεσκεύασται ἀπὸ πέρυσι· καί, τὸ ὑμῶν ζῆλος ἠρέθισε τοὺς πλείονας. 2 For I know how eager you are to help , {RPT} and I have been boasting to the churches in Macedonia that you in Greece  *  were ready to send an offering a year ago . In fact , it was your {NEQ} enthusiasm that stirred up {NEQ} many of the Macedonian believers to begin giving .
2Cor.9:3 3ἔπεμψα δὲ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἵνα μὴ τὸ καύχημα ἡμῶν τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κενωθῇ ἐν τῷ μέρει τούτῳ, ἵνα καθὼς ἔλεγον, παρεσκευασμένοι ἦτε· 3 But I am sending these brothers to be sure you really are ready , {NEQ} as I have been telling them , and that your money is all collected . I don’t want to be wrong in my {RPT} boasting {RPT} about you .
2Cor.9:14 14καὶ αὐτῶν δεήσει ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐπιποθούντων ὑμᾶς διὰ τὴν ὑπερβάλλουσαν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν. 14 And they will pray for you with deep affection {RPT} because of the overflowing grace {NEQ} God has given to you .
2Cor.12:5 5ὑπὲρ τοῦ τοιούτου καυχήσομαι, ὑπὲρ δὲ ἐμαυτοῦ οὐ καυχήσομαι· εἰ μὴ ἐν ταῖς ἀσθενείαις. 5 That experience is worth boasting about , but {RPT} I’m not going to do it . I will boast only about my weaknesses .
2Cor.12:6 6ἐὰν γὰρ θελήσω καυχήσασθαι, οὐκ ἔσομαι ἄφρων, ἀλήθειαν γὰρ ἐρῶ· φείδομαι δέ, μή τις εἰς ἐμὲ λογίσηται ὑπὲρ ὃ βλέπει με ἢ ἀκούει τι ἐξ ἐμοῦ, 6 If I wanted to boast , I would be no fool in doing so , because I would be telling the truth . But I won’t do it , because I don’t want anyone to give me credit beyond what they can see in my life or hear in my message ,
2Cor.12:8 8ὑπὲρ τούτου τρὶς τὸν κύριον παρεκάλεσα ἵνα ἀποστῇ ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ. 8 {NEQ} {NEQ} Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away {RPT} {RPT} .
2Cor.12:10 10διὸ εὐδοκῶ ἐν ἀσθενείαις, ἐν ὕβρεσιν, ἐν ἀνάγκαις, ἐν διωγμοῖς, καὶ στενοχωρίαις ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ· ὅταν γὰρ ἀσθενῶ, τότε δυνατός εἰμι. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses , and in the insults , {RPT} hardships , {RPT} persecutions , and troubles that I suffer for Christ . For when I am weak , then I am strong .
2Cor.12:13 13τί γάρ ἐστιν ὃ ἡσσώθητε ὑπὲρ τὰς λοιπὰς ἐκκλησίας εἰ μὴ ὅτι αὐτὸς ἐγὼ οὐ κατενάρκησα ὑμῶν; χαρίσασθέ μοι τὴν ἀδικίαν ταύτην. 13 {NEQ} {NEQ} {NEQ} The only thing I failed to do , which I do in the other churches , was to become a financial burden to you . Please forgive me for this {NEQ} wrong !
2Cor.12:15 15ἐγὼ δὲ ἥδιστα δαπανήσω καὶ ἐκδαπανηθήσομαι ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν, εἰ περισσοτέρως ὑμᾶς ἀγαπῶ, ἧσσον ἀγαπῶμαι. 15 {NEQ} I will gladly spend myself and all I have for you , even though it seems that the more I love you , the less you love me .
2Cor.12:19 19πάλαι δοκεῖτε ὅτι ὑμῖν ἀπολογούμεθα. κατέναντι θεοῦ, ἐν Χριστῷ λαλοῦμεν. τὰ δὲ πάντα, ἀγαπητοί, ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑμῶν οἰκοδομῆς. 19 Perhaps you think {NEQ} {RPT} we’re saying these things just to defend ourselves . No , we tell you this as Christ’s servants , and with God as our witness . {NEQ} Everything we do , dear friends , is to strengthen you .
2Cor.13:8 8οὐ γὰρ δυνάμεθά τι κατὰ τῆς ἀληθείας, ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ τῆς ἀληθείας. 8 For we cannot oppose the truth , but must always stand for the truth .
Gal.1:4 4τοῦ δόντος ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν, ὅπως ἐξέληται ἡμᾶς ἐκ τοῦ αἰῶνος τοῦ ἐνεστῶτος πονηροῦ, κατὰ τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ πατρὸς ἡμῶν· 4 Jesus gave his life for our {NEQ} sins , just as {NEQ} God {NEQ} our Father planned , in order to rescue us from {RPT} this evil {NEQ} world in which we live .
Gal.1:14 14καὶ προέκοπτον ἐν τῷ Ἰουδαϊσμῷ ὑπὲρ πολλοὺς συνηλικιώτας ἐν τῷ γένει μου περισσοτέρως ζηλωτὴς ὑπάρχων τῶν πατρικῶν μου παραδόσεων. 14 {NEQ} I was far ahead of my fellow {NEQ} Jews in my zeal for the traditions of my {NEQ} ancestors .
Gal.2:20 20Χριστῷ συνεσταύρωμαι. ζῶ δὲ οὐκέτι ἐγώ, ζῇ δὲ ἐν ἐμοὶ Χριστός. ὃ δὲ νῦν ζῶ ἐν σαρκὶ ἐν πίστει ζῶ τῇ τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ, τοῦ ἀγαπήσαντός με καὶ παραδόντος ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ. 20 My old self has been crucified with Christ .  *  {NEQ} It is no longer I who live , but Christ lives in me . So I live in this earthly body by trusting in {NEQ} the Son of {NEQ} God , who loved me and gave himself for me .
Gal.3:13 13Χριστὸς ἡμᾶς ἐξηγόρασεν ἐκ τῆς κατάρας τοῦ νόμου· γενόμενος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν κατάρα· ὅτι γέγραπται, Ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ὁ κρεμάμενος ἐπὶ ξύλου· 13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law . When he was hung on the cross , he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing . For it is written in the Scriptures , “ Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree . ”  * 
Eph.1:16 16οὐ παύομαι εὐχαριστῶν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν· μνείαν ποιούμενος ἐπὶ τῶν προσευχῶν μου, 16 I have not stopped thanking God for you . I pray for you constantly ,

Eph.3:13 13διὸ αἰτοῦμαι μὴ ἐνκακεῖν ἐν ταῖς θλίψεσίν μου· ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, ἥτις ἐστὶν δόξα ὑμῶν. 13 So please don’t lose heart because of my {NEQ} trials here . I am suffering for you , so you should feel honored .
Eph.3:20 20τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ, ὑπὲρ πάντα ποιῆσαι ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ ὧν αἰτούμεθα ἢ νοοῦμεν, κατὰ τὴν δύναμιν τὴν ἐνεργουμένην ἐν ἡμῖν· 20 Now all glory to God , who is able , through his mighty power {RPT} at work within {RPT} us , to accomplish infinitely more than {RPT} we might ask or think .
Eph.5:2 2καὶ περιπατεῖτε ἐν ἀγάπῃ· καθὼς καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν ἡμᾶς καὶ παρέδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν προσφορὰν καὶ θυσίαν τῷ θεῷ, εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας. 2 {NEQ} Live a life filled with love , following the example of {NEQ} Christ . He loved us  *  and offered himself {NEQ} as a sacrifice for us , a pleasing aroma to {NEQ} God .
Eph.5:20 20εὐχαριστοῦντες πάντοτε ὑπὲρ πάντων ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τῷ θεῷ καὶ πατρί. 20 And give thanks {NEQ} for everything to God the {NEQ} Father in the name of our {NEQ} Lord Jesus Christ .
Eph.5:25 25οἱ ἄνδρες, ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς γυναῖκας, καθὼς καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν τὴν ἐκκλησίαν· καὶ ἑαυτὸν παρέδωκεν ὑπὲρ αὐτῆς 25 For {NEQ} husbands , this means love your wives , just as {NEQ} Christ loved the church . {NEQ} He gave up his life for her
Eph.6:19 19καί, ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ· ἵνα μοι δοθῇ λόγος ἐν ἀνοίξει τοῦ στόματός μου ἐν παρρησίᾳ γνωρίσαι τὸ μυστήριον τοῦ εὐαγγελίου· 19 And pray for me , too . Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike .  * 
Eph.6:20 20ὑπὲρ οὗ πρεσβεύω, ἐν ἁλύσει· ἵνα ἐν αὐτῷ παρρησιάσωμαι, ὡς δεῖ με λαλῆσαι. 20 I am in chains now , {NEQ} still preaching this message as God’s ambassador . So pray that {NEQ} {RPT} I will keep on speaking boldly for him , as I should .
Phil.1:4 4πάντοτε ἐν πάσῃ δεήσει μου ὑπὲρ πάντων ὑμῶν, μετὰ χαρᾶς τὴν δέησιν ποιούμενος, 4 Whenever I pray , I make my {NEQ} requests for all of you with joy ,
Phil.1:7 7καθώς, ἐστιν δίκαιον ἐμοὶ τοῦτο φρονεῖν ὑπὲρ πάντων ὑμῶν, διὰ τὸ ἔχειν με ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ ὑμᾶς· ἔν τε τοῖς δεσμοῖς μου καὶ ἐν τῇ ἀπολογίᾳ καὶ βεβαιώσει τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, συνκοινωνούς μου τῆς χάριτος πάντας ὑμᾶς ὄντας. 7 So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you , for you have a special place in my {NEQ} heart . You share with me the special favor of God , both in my {NEQ} imprisonment and in {NEQ} defending and confirming the truth of the Good News .
Phil.1:29 29ὅτι ὑμῖν ἐχαρίσθη τὸ ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ, οὐ μόνον τὸ εἰς αὐτὸν πιστεύειν ἀλλὰ καὶ τὸ ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ πάσχειν· 29 For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ {RPT} but also the privilege of suffering for him .
Phil.2:9 9διό, καὶ ὁ θεὸς αὐτὸν ὑπερύψωσεν καὶ ἐχαρίσατο αὐτῷ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα, 9 Therefore {NEQ} , {NEQ} God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name {RPT} above all other names ,
Phil.2:13 13θεὸς γάρ ἐστιν ὁ ἐνεργῶν ἐν ὑμῖν, καὶ τὸ θέλειν καὶ τὸ ἐνεργεῖν ὑπὲρ τῆς εὐδοκίας. 13 For God is {NEQ} working in you , {NEQ} giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him .
Phil.4:10 10ἐχάρην δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ μεγάλως ὅτι ἤδη ποτὲ ἀνεθάλετε τὸ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ φρονεῖν· ἐφ᾽ ᾧ καὶ ἐφρονεῖτε, ἠκαιρεῖσθε δέ. 10 How I praise the Lord that {NEQ} {NEQ} you are concerned about me again . I know you have always been concerned for me , but you didn’t have the chance to help me .
Col.1:7 7καθὼς ἐμάθετε ἀπὸ Ἐπαφρᾶ, τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ συνδούλου ἡμῶν· ὅς ἐστιν πιστός, ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, διάκονος τοῦ Χριστοῦ· 7 {NEQ} You learned about the Good News from Epaphras , our beloved {NEQ} co-worker . He is {NEQ} Christ’s faithful servant , and he is helping us on your behalf .  * 
Col.1:9 9διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ἡμεῖς, ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἡμέρας ἠκούσαμεν οὐ παυόμεθα ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν προσευχόμενοι· καὶ αἰτούμενοι ἵνα πληρωθῆτε τὴν ἐπίγνωσιν τοῦ θελήματος αὐτοῦ ἐν πάσῃ σοφίᾳ καὶ συνέσει πνευματικῇ· 9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you . {NEQ} We ask God to give you complete {NEQ} knowledge of his {NEQ} will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding .
Col.1:24 24νῦν χαίρω ἐν τοῖς παθήμασιν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, καὶ ἀνταναπληρῶ τὰ ὑστερήματα τῶν θλίψεων τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου ὑπὲρ τοῦ σώματος αὐτοῦ, ὅ ἐστιν ἡ ἐκκλησία· 24 {NEQ} I am glad when I suffer for you in my {NEQ} body , for I am participating in the sufferings of {NEQ} Christ that continue for his {NEQ} body , {RPT} {NEQ} the church .
Col.2:1 1θέλω γὰρ ὑμᾶς εἰδέναι ἡλίκον ἀγῶνα ἔχω ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν ἐν Λαοδικείᾳ, καὶ ὅσοι οὐχ ἑόρακαν τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐν σαρκί· 2:1 {NEQ} I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea , and for many other believers who have never met me personally .
Col.4:12 12ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἐπαφρᾶς, ὁ ἐξ ὑμῶν δοῦλος Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ· πάντοτε ἀγωνιζόμενος ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐν ταῖς προσευχαῖς, ἵνα σταθῆτε τέλειοι, καὶ πεπληροφορημένοι ἐν παντὶ θελήματι τοῦ θεοῦ. 12 Epaphras , a member of your own fellowship and a servant of Christ Jesus , sends you his greetings . He always prays earnestly for you , asking God to make you strong and perfect , {NEQ} fully confident that you are following the whole will of {NEQ} God .
Col.4:13 13μαρτυρῶ γὰρ αὐτῷ ὅτι ἔχει πολὺν πόνον ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν ἐν Λαοδικείᾳ καὶ τῶν ἐν Ἱεραπόλει. 13 {NEQ} I can assure you {RPT} that he prays hard for you and also for the believers in Laodicea and {RPT} {RPT} Hierapolis .
1Thes.3:2 2καὶ ἐπέμψαμεν Τιμόθεον· τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἡμῶν καὶ συνεργὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ· εἰς τὸ στηρίξαι ὑμᾶς, καὶ παρακαλέσαι ὑπὲρ τῆς πίστεως ὑμῶν, 2 and we sent Timothy to visit you . He is our {NEQ} brother and {NEQ} God’s co-worker  *  in proclaiming the Good News of {NEQ} Christ . We sent him to strengthen you , {NEQ} to encourage you in your {NEQ} faith ,
1Thes.5:10 10τοῦ ἀποθανόντος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἵνα, εἴτε γρηγορῶμεν εἴτε καθεύδωμεν, ἅμα σὺν αὐτῷ ζήσωμεν. 10 Christ died for us so that , whether we are dead or alive when he returns , we can live with him forever .
2Thes.1:4 4ὥστε αὐτοὺς ἡμᾶς ἐν ὑμῖν ἐνκαυχᾶσθαι ἐν ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις τοῦ θεοῦ ὑπὲρ τῆς ὑπομονῆς ὑμῶν καὶ πίστεως ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς διωγμοῖς ὑμῶν καὶ ταῖς θλίψεσιν αἷς ἀνέχεσθε· 4 {NEQ} We proudly tell {NEQ} God’s other churches about {RPT} your {NEQ} {NEQ} endurance and faithfulness in all the persecutions and {NEQ} hardships you {RPT} are suffering .
2Thes.1:5 5ἔνδειγμα τῆς δικαίας κρίσεως τοῦ θεοῦ, εἰς τὸ καταξιωθῆναι ὑμᾶς τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ, ὑπὲρ ἧς καὶ πάσχετε· 5 And {NEQ} God will use this persecution to show his justice and to make you worthy of his {NEQ} Kingdom , for which {NEQ} you are suffering .
2Thes.2:1 1ἐρωτῶμεν δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, ὑπὲρ τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ ἡμῶν ἐπισυναγωγῆς ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν· 2:1 Now , dear brothers and sisters ,  *  let us clarify some things {RPT} about the coming of our {NEQ} Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet {RPT} him .
1Tim.2:1 1παρακαλῶ οὖν, πρῶτον πάντων, ποιεῖσθαι δεήσεις· προσευχάς, ἐντεύξεις, εὐχαριστίας ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀνθρώπων· 2:1 {NEQ} I urge you , first of all , to pray for all people . Ask God to help them ; intercede on their behalf , and give thanks for them .
1Tim.2:2 2ὑπὲρ βασιλέων καὶ πάντων τῶν ἐν ὑπεροχῇ ὄντων, ἵνα ἤρεμον καὶ ἡσύχιον βίον διάγωμεν ἐν πάσῃ εὐσεβείᾳ καὶ σεμνότητι. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity .
1Tim.2:6 6ὁ δοὺς ἑαυτὸν ἀντίλυτρον ὑπὲρ πάντων· τὸ μαρτύριον καιροῖς ἰδίοις. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone . This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time .
Titus.2:14 14ὃς ἔδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν, ἵνα λυτρώσηται ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἀνομίας, καὶ καθαρίσῃ ἑαυτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον, ζηλωτὴν καλῶν ἔργων. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin , to cleanse us , and to make us his very own people , totally committed to doing good deeds .
Phlm.1:13 13ὃν ἐγὼ ἐβουλόμην πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν κατέχειν, ἵνα ὑπὲρ σοῦ μοι διακονῇ, ἐν τοῖς δεσμοῖς τοῦ εὐαγγελίου. 13 I wanted to keep him here with me while I am in these chains for preaching the Good News , and he would have helped me on your behalf .
Phlm.1:16 16οὐκέτι ὡς δοῦλον· ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ δοῦλον, ἀδελφὸν ἀγαπητόν, μάλιστα ἐμοί. πόσῳ δὲ μᾶλλον σοί, καὶ ἐν σαρκὶ καὶ ἐν κυρίῳ. 16 He is no longer like a slave to you . {NEQ} He is more than a slave , for he is a beloved brother , especially to me . Now he will mean much more to you , both as a man and as a brother in the Lord .
Phlm.1:21 21πεποιθὼς τῇ ὑπακοῇ σου ἔγραψά σοι εἰδὼς ὅτι καὶ ὑπὲρ ἃ λέγω ποιήσεις. 21 I am confident {RPT} {RPT} {RPT} as I write this letter {RPT} {RPT} that you will do what I ask and even more !
Heb.2:9 9τὸν δὲ βραχύ τι παρ᾽ ἀγγέλους ἠλαττωμένον, βλέπομεν Ἰησοῦν· διὰ τὸ πάθημα τοῦ θανάτου, δόξῃ καὶ τιμῇ ἐστεφανωμένον· ὅπως, χάριτι θεοῦ, ὑπὲρ παντὸς γεύσηται θανάτου. 9   What we do see is Jesus , who {NEQ} {NEQ} {NEQ} was given a position “ a little lower than the angels ” ; and because he {NEQ} suffered {NEQ} death for us , he is now “ crowned with glory and honor . ” Yes , by God’s grace , Jesus tasted death for everyone .
Heb.4:12 12ζῶν γὰρ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐνεργής· καὶ τομώτερος ὑπὲρ πᾶσαν μάχαιραν δίστομον, καὶ διικνούμενος ἄχρι μερισμοῦ ψυχῆς καὶ πνεύματος, ἁρμῶν τε καὶ μυελῶν· καὶ κριτικὸς ἐνθυμήσεων καὶ ἐννοιῶν καρδίας· 12 For the word of {NEQ} God is alive and powerful . {NEQ} It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword , {NEQ} cutting between soul and spirit , between joint {NEQ} and marrow . {NEQ} It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires .
Heb.5:1 1πᾶς γὰρ ἀρχιερεὺς ἐξ ἀνθρώπων λαμβανόμενος ὑπὲρ ἀνθρώπων καθίσταται τὰ πρὸς τὸν θεόν· ἵνα προσφέρῃ δῶρά τε καὶ θυσίας ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτιῶν· 5:1 {NEQ} Every high priest is a man chosen to represent other people in their dealings with {NEQ} God . {NEQ} He presents their gifts to God {NEQ} and offers sacrifices for their sins .
Heb.6:20 20ὅπου πρόδρομος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν εἰσῆλθεν Ἰησοῦς· κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισεδὲκ ἀρχιερεὺς γενόμενος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us . He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek .
Heb.7:25 25ὅθεν καὶ σῴζειν, εἰς τὸ παντελὲς δύναται, τοὺς προσερχομένους δι᾽ αὐτοῦ τῷ θεῷ· πάντοτε ζῶν εἰς τὸ ἐντυγχάνειν ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν. 25 Therefore he is able , once and forever , to save  *  those who come to {NEQ} God through him . He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf .
Heb.7:27 27ὃς οὐκ ἔχει καθ᾽ ἡμέραν ἀνάγκην· ὥσπερ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς, πρότερον ὑπὲρ τῶν ἰδίων ἁμαρτιῶν θυσίας ἀναφέρειν ἔπειτα τῶν τοῦ λαοῦ· τοῦτο γὰρ ἐποίησεν ἐφάπαξ ἑαυτὸν ἀνενέγκας. 27 Unlike those other high priests , he does not need to offer sacrifices every day . They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people . But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins .
Heb.9:7 7εἰς δὲ τὴν δευτέραν ἅπαξ τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ, μόνος ὁ ἀρχιερεύς· οὐ χωρὶς αἵματος ὃ προσφέρει ὑπὲρ ἑαυτοῦ καὶ τῶν τοῦ λαοῦ ἀγνοημάτων· 7 But only the high priest ever entered the Most Holy Place , and only once a year . And he always offered blood {RPT} for his own sins and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance .
Heb.9:24 24οὐ γὰρ εἰς χειροποίητα εἰσῆλθεν ἅγια Χριστός, ἀντίτυπα τῶν ἀληθινῶν· ἀλλ᾽ εἰς αὐτὸν τὸν οὐρανὸν νῦν ἐμφανισθῆναι τῷ προσώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν· 24 For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands , which was only a copy of the true one in heaven . {NEQ} He entered into {NEQ} heaven itself to appear now before {NEQ} God on our behalf .
Heb.10:12 12οὗτος δὲ μίαν ὑπὲρ ἁμαρτιῶν προσενέγκας θυσίαν, εἰς τὸ διηνεκές· ἐκάθισεν ἐν δεξιᾷ τοῦ θεοῦ· 12 But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins , good for all time . Then he sat down in the place of honor at {NEQ} God’s right hand .
Heb.13:17 17πείθεσθε τοῖς ἡγουμένοις ὑμῶν καὶ ὑπείκετε· αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀγρυπνοῦσιν ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν, ὡς λόγον ἀποδώσοντες· ἵνα μετὰ χαρᾶς τοῦτο ποιῶσιν καὶ μὴ στενάζοντες· ἀλυσιτελὲς γὰρ ὑμῖν τοῦτο. 17 Obey your spiritual leaders , and do what they say . {NEQ} Their work is to watch over your {NEQ} souls , and they are accountable to God . Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow . {NEQ} That would certainly not be for your benefit .
Jas.5:16 16ἐξομολογεῖσθε οὖν ἀλλήλοις τὰς ἁμαρτίας καὶ προσεύχεσθε ὑπὲρ ἀλλήλων ὅπως ἰαθῆτε. πολὺ ἰσχύει δέησις δικαίου ἐνεργουμένη. 16 {NEQ} Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed . The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results .
1Pet.2:21 21εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐκλήθητε, ὅτι καὶ Χριστὸς ἔπαθεν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν· ὑμῖν ὑπολιμπάνων ὑπογραμμόν, ἵνα ἐπακολουθήσητε τοῖς ἴχνεσιν αὐτοῦ· 21 For God called you to do good , even if it means suffering , just as Christ suffered  *  for you . He is your example , and you must follow in his {NEQ} steps .
1Pet.3:18 18ὅτι καὶ Χριστὸς ἅπαξ περὶ ἁμαρτιῶν ἔπαθεν· δίκαιος, ὑπὲρ ἀδίκων· ἵνα ὑμᾶς προσαγάγῃ τῷ θεῷ· θανατωθεὶς μὲν σαρκί, ζωοποιηθεὶς δὲ πνεύματι· 18 {NEQ} {NEQ} Christ suffered  *  for our sins once for all time . He never sinned , but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to {NEQ} God . {RPT} He suffered physical death , but he was raised to life in the Spirit .  * 
1Jn.3:16 16ἐν τούτῳ ἐγνώκαμεν τὴν ἀγάπην ὅτι ἐκεῖνος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἔθηκεν· καὶ ἡμεῖς ὀφείλομεν ὑπὲρ τῶν ἀδελφῶν τὰς ψυχὰς θεῖναι. 16 We know what real {NEQ} love is because Jesus gave up his {NEQ} life for us . So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters .
3Jn.1:7 7ὑπὲρ γὰρ τοῦ ὀνόματος ἐξῆλθαν μηδὲν λαμβάνοντες ἀπὸ τῶν ἐθνικῶν. 7 For they are traveling for the Lord ,  *  and they accept nothing from {NEQ} people who are not believers .  *
