Matt.25:21 21ἔφη αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ, Εὖ, δοῦλε ἀγαθὲ καὶ πιστέ. ἐπὶ ὀλίγα ἦς πιστός, ἐπὶ πολλῶν σε καταστήσω. εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν χαρὰν τοῦ κυρίου σου. 21 “ The {NEQ} master was full of praise {RPT} . ‘ Well done , my good and faithful servant . You have been faithful in handling this small amount , so now I will give you many more responsibilities . Let’s {RPT} celebrate together !  *  ’

Luke.15:10 10οὕτως λέγω ὑμῖν, γίνεται χαρὰ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀγγέλων τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ ἑνὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ μετανοοῦντι. 10 In the same way {NEQ} {RPT} , there is joy in the presence of {NEQ} God’s {NEQ} angels {RPT} when even one sinner repents . ”
Luke.24:41 41ἔτι δὲ ἀπιστούντων αὐτῶν, ἀπὸ τῆς χαρᾶς καὶ θαυμαζόντων. εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, ̓Έχετέ τι βρώσιμον ἐνθάδε; 41 Still they stood there in disbelief , filled with {NEQ} joy and wonder . Then he asked them , “ Do you have anything here to eat ? ”
Luke.24:52 52καὶ αὐτοὶ προσκυνήσαντες αὐτὸν ὑπέστρεψαν εἰς Ἰερουσαλὴμ μετὰ χαρᾶς μεγάλης. 52 So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy .

John.16:20 20ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅτι κλαύσετε καὶ θρηνήσετε ὑμεῖς, ὁ δὲ κόσμος χαρήσεται· ὑμεῖς λυπηθήσεσθε, ἀλλ᾽ ἡ λύπη ὑμῶν εἰς χαρὰν γενήσεται. 20 I tell you the truth , {NEQ} you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me , but the world will rejoice . You will grieve , but your {NEQ} grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy .
John.16:21 21ἡ γυνὴ ὅταν τίκτῃ λύπην ἔχει. ὅτι ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα αὐτῆς, ὅταν δὲ γεννήσῃ τὸ παιδίον οὐκέτι μνημονεύει τῆς θλίψεως διὰ τὴν χαρὰν ὅτι ἐγεννήθη ἄνθρωπος εἰς τὸν κόσμον. 21 It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor . {NEQ} When her {NEQ} child is born , her anguish gives way to {NEQ} joy because she has brought a new baby into the world .
John.16:22 22καὶ ὑμεῖς οὖν νῦν μὲν λύπην ἔχετε, πάλιν δὲ ὄψομαι ὑμᾶς· καὶ χαρήσεται ὑμῶν ἡ καρδία, καὶ τὴν χαρὰν ὑμῶν οὐδεὶς ἀρεῖ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν. 22 {NEQ} So you have sorrow now , {NEQ} but I will see you again ; then you will rejoice , and no one can rob you of that joy {RPT} .
John.16:24 24ἕως ἄρτι οὐκ ᾐτήσατε οὐδέν. ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου αἰτεῖτε, καὶ λήμψεσθε, ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ὑμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη. 24 You haven’t done this before . Ask , using my {NEQ} name , and you will receive , {NEQ} and you will have abundant {NEQ} joy .

Acts.13:52 52οἵ τε μαθηταὶ ἐπληροῦντο χαρᾶς καὶ πνεύματος ἁγίου. 52 And the believers  *  were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit .

Rom.14:17 17οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ βρῶσις καὶ πόσις, ἀλλὰ δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ χαρὰ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ. 17 For the Kingdom of {NEQ} God is not a matter of what we eat or drink , but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit .
Rom.15:13 13ὁ δὲ θεός, τῆς ἐλπίδος, πληρώσαι ὑμᾶς πάσης χαρᾶς καὶ εἰρήνης ἐν τῷ πιστεύειν· εἰς τὸ περισσεύειν ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐλπίδι ἐν δυνάμει πνεύματος ἁγίου. 13 I pray that {NEQ} {NEQ} God , the source of hope , will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him . Rom.15:32 32ἵνα, ἐν χαρᾷ ἐλθὼν πρὸς ὑμᾶς, διὰ θελήματος θεοῦ, συναναπαύσωμαι ὑμῖν. 32 Then , by the will of God , I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart , and we will be an encouragement to each other .
2Cor.1:24 24οὐχ ὅτι κυριεύομεν ὑμῶν τῆς πίστεως· ἀλλὰ συνεργοί ἐσμεν τῆς χαρᾶς ὑμῶν, τῇ γὰρ πίστει ἑστήκατε. 24 But that does not mean we want to dominate you by telling you how to put your {NEQ} faith into practice . We want to work together with you so you will be {NEQ} full of joy , for it is by your own faith that you stand firm .

2Cor.7:4 4πολλή μοι παρρησία πρὸς ὑμᾶς, πολλή μοι καύχησις ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν. πεπλήρωμαι τῇ παρακλήσει ὑπερπερισσεύομαι τῇ χαρᾷ ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ θλίψει ἡμῶν. 4 I have the highest confidence in you , and I take great pride in you . You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our {NEQ} troubles .

2Cor.8:2 2ὅτι ἐν πολλῇ δοκιμῇ θλίψεως, ἡ περισσεία τῆς χαρᾶς αὐτῶν, καὶ ἡ κατὰ βάθους πτωχεία αὐτῶν, ἐπερίσσευσεν εἰς τὸ πλοῦτος τῆς ἁπλότητος αὐτῶν. 2 {NEQ} They are being tested by many troubles , and they are very poor . But they are also filled with abundant {NEQ} joy , which has overflowed in rich generosity {RPT} .

You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever .
Heb.12:2 2ἀφορῶντες εἰς τὸν τῆς πίστεως ἀρχηγὸν καὶ τελειωτήν, Ἰησοῦν· ὃς ἀντὶ τῆς προκειμένης αὐτῷ χαρᾶς, ὑπέμεινεν σταυρόν, αἰσχύνης καταφρονήσας· ἐν δεξιᾷ τε τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ θεοῦ κεκάθικεν. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus , the champion who initiates and perfects our faith .  *  {RPT} Because of the joy  *  awaiting him , he endured the cross , disregarding its shame . Now he is seated in the place of honor beside {RPT} God’s {RPT} throne .
Heb.12:11 11πᾶσα δὲ παιδεία πρὸς μὲν τὸ παρὸν οὐ δοκεῖ χαρᾶς εἶναι— ἀλλὰ λύπης· ὕστερον δὲ καρπὸν εἰρηνικὸν τοῖς δι᾽ αὐτῆς γεγυμνασμένοις ἀποδίδωσιν δικαιοσύνης. 11 {NEQ} No discipline is {NEQ} enjoyable while it is happening — {NEQ} it’s painful ! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way .
Heb.13:17 17πείθεσθε τοῖς ἡγουμένοις ὑμῶν καὶ ὑπείκετε· αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀγρυπνοῦσιν ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν, ὡς λόγον ἀποδώσοντες· ἵνα μετὰ χαρᾶς τοῦτο ποιῶσιν καὶ μὴ στενάζοντες· ἀλυσιτελὲς γὰρ ὑμῖν τοῦτο. 17 Obey your spiritual leaders , and do what they say . {NEQ} Their work is to watch over your {NEQ} souls , and they are accountable to God . Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow . {NEQ} That would certainly not be for your benefit .
Jas.1:2 2πᾶσαν χαρὰν ἡγήσασθε, ἀδελφοί μου, ὅταν πειρασμοῖς περιπέσητε ποικίλοις· 2 Dear brothers and sisters ,  *  when troubles come your way , consider it an opportunity for great joy .
Jas.4:9 9ταλαιπωρήσατε· καὶ πενθήσατε καὶ κλαύσατε. ὁ γέλως ὑμῶν εἰς πένθος μετατραπήτω, καὶ ἡ χαρὰ εἰς κατήφειαν. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done . {NEQ} Let there be sorrow and deep grief . Let there be sadness instead of {NEQ} laughter {RPT} , and gloom instead of {NEQ} joy .
1Pet.1:8 8ὃν οὐκ ἰδόντες ἀγαπᾶτε· εἰς ὃν ἄρτι, μὴ ὁρῶντες πιστεύοντες· δὲ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε χαρᾷ ἀνεκλαλήτῳ, καὶ δεδοξασμένῃ· 8 You love him even though you have never seen him . Though you do not see him now , you trust him ; and you rejoice with a glorious , {NEQ} inexpressible joy .
1Jn.1:4 4καὶ ταῦτα γράφομεν ἡμεῖς ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ἡμῶν ᾖ πεπληρωμένη. 4   {NEQ} We are writing these things so that you may fully share our {NEQ} joy .  * 
2Jn.1:12 12πολλὰ ἔχων ὑμῖν γράφειν, οὐκ ἐβουλήθην διὰ χάρτου καὶ μέλανος· ἀλλὰ ἐλπίζω γενέσθαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς καὶ στόμα πρὸς στόμα λαλῆσαι· ἵνα ἡ χαρὰ ἡμῶν πεπληρωμένη ᾖ. 12 I have much more to say to you , but I don’t want to do it with paper and ink . For I hope to visit you soon and talk with you face to face . Then our {NEQ} joy will be complete .
3Jn.1:4 4μειζοτέραν τούτων οὐκ ἔχω χαρὰν ἵνα ἀκούω τὰ ἐμὰ τέκνα ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ περιπατοῦντα. 4 I could have no greater joy than {RPT} to hear that my {NEQ} children are following the truth .
